Description

The Citizen BL8000-54L watch the men of steel is loaded with style and time of maintenance resources. It is powered by Citizen's unique Eco-Drive, which absorbs sunlight and any artificial light through the crystal and dial to recharge the watch continuously. With regular exposure to light, Eco-Drive recharges itself for a lifetime of use. The watch also has a perpetual calendar that automatically adjusts for odd and even months and leap years through 2100. It has a deep blue dial with three subdials for 24-hour, day and month and date window at 4 o'clock. The band silver bracelet stainless steel is composed of small brushed links, and is supported by a fold-over clasp with hidden button. Other features include water resistance to 330 feet (100 meters), an alarm, and a scratch-resistant, non-reflective mineral crystal. This is my second Citizen Eco-Drive watch. My first of course is still running and looks great, the crystal has not a single scratch or nick on it. I leave it in my bedroom on a shelf where it gets plenty of light so it will be ready when I want to wear it. I bought my second watch as a treat for myself for my birthday, I only looked at Citizen Eco-Drives. I selected the Caliber 8700 Perpetual Calendar watch for its features and looks. I 'm not a number, or a flyer, or a runner, as handsome as the watches are made for those men, they are more than I need. I do sometimes need an alarm, and because I 've found it difficult to remember even the day of the week since I retired, the perpetual calendar and alarm seemed just right for me. Then I learned what "automatic " means when I watched a short video on how to set the watch and use its functions (Visit the Citizen website.) I was sold. And I have not been disappointed. The quality of manufacture and is what I expected from Citizen. The watch is even more handsome than its photos. Although Heavier and slightly larger than my first watch, the watch band steel and are nicely balanced, I hardly notice that I 'm wearing it. I recommend it to anyone who wants a watch that looks good whether you 're dressing casually or formally, who doesn ' t need the added weight and size of a Chronograph 's bezel, who wants to watch that knows how many days there are in each month and which years are leap years, who doesn 't need the hassle of finding and replacing batteries, and who wants a watch that is easy to set and reset when you change time zones (while continuing to display your "man " time) or when DST starts or ends.

This is a top-line Citizen Eco-Drive watch. It looks and works exactly as advertised. Very high quality. Shipping was fast.

I ordered this watch 2 weeks ago and it remains Hasna 'arrived. What ever you do, whether to go buy the watch in a store, or select a mail option that allows you to monitor its delivery.

First let me say that I really like this watch. So much so I bought two, one gold and one silver. This here is a silver tone with a face Steel Blue. Navy Definitely not, as some have suggested. The clock is a very good size, its not very big, and its very thin so that it does. R RLet me tell you that this is the first metal band watch I can use. Other pull my hair or sharp and hurt after a while. Some said it's heavy, and it may be technically, but it fits so well that I notice is less than some other light meters. R RNOW evil, and is not really that bad. The fact is that, for all the cool things that this watch does, most are not really usable. The alarm is soft. Definitions calendar only shows the month. If I didn 't know what month it is, I would have bigger problems than if my clock is set correctly. Local Time sounds good, but the characteristics of switching takes so long (the hands have to go round and round) that long ago I could have figured out. If you could put the home team on the display 24 hours on the clock, it would be much more useful. Additionally, you can configure it for different times, so that leaves out India, which is a half hour ahead of other times. Therefore, it is questionable whether the cool stuff is any use. This leaves falling from five to four, in my opinion. R rThat said that the watch looks good, feel good, keeps good time and obviously I like it because I bought two. If the Amazon that would range from $ 260, that would be a really good deal.

I bought this watch, a little over a month and defintely made the right choice! Everything about it oozes class. For the price, you will not find a nice to see that the Caliber 8700. The only problem I see is that it has a sapphire crystal and can therefore easily scratched. I wacked last week very good and has a little hairline scratch on the face. If it was a sapphire crystal, I 'm sure you would not have happened. R rthe 8700 Caliber really looks like a watch that costs 10 times as much as he does. The dial face and Roman numerals are a perfect reflection of that shimers in the light! R rHere is a little story for you. I went to a very expensive restaurant for a work meeting last week. I 've had this watch for 3 years. It 's sturdy, accurate and very interesting. Working with a suit & tie and everyday use. The band broke out recently in a way that forced the removal of about 3 / 4 "long. Take care of the store said it would cost about $ 150 for a new band. I can 't find that extra links come together, and I know I didn 't throw it away so for now I ' m stuck with sitting on the dresser until I come among them. My advice is to keep tabs on the link to get these extra after adjusted. It feels very sturdy, but if damaged the band really expensive . I must have missed every day do not wear. r rUpdate - 10/18/09. I found a link which was initially brought out and asked them to be reinstalled so I 'm back to wearing a watch daily. I had to meet the original requirements My statement that the firm had not broken band. I have lost nearly 30 pounds and it slid too far in the arm. I put off because it was tailored buckles and cuffs, and finally caught my jacket was broken when I'm driving. clock very well built. r rthe battery had run out of storage in a safe place when I could not wear them. Citizen has a website for this fantastic setting. There is an applet is very slowly and carefully guide you through setting it. In my case, I had to start from scratch absolute but only takes about 10 minutes to set. There are many steps to create a calendar that constantly works properly. Bottom line, I 'm still very pleased with this. It ' s best every day / every opportunity watch i 've owned. I think you can get this watch with leather band, but this model was significantly more professional.

My wife has given me this for our anniversary one year and a half back and his great work. He controls so many .... two settings for different times, perpetual calendar, alarm and the works of light-energy ... Would definitely recommend it.

I have this watch for my wife for Christmas last month. It is the best watch I ever had. I particularly like the fact that it won 't Be replacing the batteries, since it usually does not cause the watch water resistant. Not only that, but very well maintained over time (increase of about 10 seconds per month). It is a little thicker than most watches, but believe that all powered by solar energy. I have a Casio solar is much thicker than this. Thus, two areas of time is very convenient (my in GMT). In short, a very good buy.

I bought this watch back in early 2007, and I have worn it almost every day since. It is an amazing deal for a watch. No problems at all, and at the end of every month I do not have to advance the date to the correct day number. It is near perfect. The only reasons why I did not give it a 5 star are the mineral crystal watch window, and the size. This watch should have a sapphire crystal so that it stays looking great year after year, and the thickness and heft of the watch are a mixed blessing. Nice and sturdy feeling, but at times is a lot to have on your arm, at least for me. This watch is highly recommended for people who like easy. Set it once, and correct for day light savings time, and forget about it. No batteries, not incorrect date, no fuss. Classy

I really love this watch so its a shame I must give it a 3-star review. If you are going to pay this much for a watch, it really should have a sapphire dial window. Within a year of ownership I had 2 or 3 scratches on the dial. Now, into its second year it has a couple more. It 's such a shame really because otherwise its a perfect watch. Elegant and classy looking, low maintenance thanks to the Eco-Drive system and perpetual calendar.

I can 't even express in words how much I hate this watch. Bought it for my husband for Christmas of 2007, by summer it had been back to Citizens 3 times. They want to blame it on my husband, (who has read the book that came with the watch cover to cover). He knows how things work with the watch. It suppose to almost forever hold a charge. Husband works outside full sun most of the time. They have insides replaced twice, if it was husbands fault, why replace insides, if watch isn 't to blame. Won 't just admit it ' sa lemon, will not get refund on Piece of you know what. Had it back 4th time when it wasn 't keeping accurate time again. They charged it and sent it back to us. They have done that before and within a week or 2 what keeping inaccurate time. Would never ever buy a Citizen 's watch again. I tried to give no stars, but was stuck giving 1st

Although I did not buy this watch from Amazon and save a little money, I must say that is a beautiful piece of machinery. I have a few watches from Swiss Army, Hamilton, and Timex, but the style of this watch makes others look cheap. I like the fact that resets itself when the light comes on, but besides the price of its 'great in all others. I agree with some of the writers is a bit heavy to see how a small but quickly get to use. I think I will buy another as soon as I get paid, It 's worth.

Watch great with few problems r rI bought this watch four months ago. I love this watch. It is well built and looks very good. The dial is not great and fits very well my wrist. It comes with different colors. If you fancy a black dial and gold or a diamond ring, you can search for it. R rthe watch is pretty accurate. My watch is 5 seconds slower in a month. R rI also love the alarm function, which usually do not have clocks of this style. The dual-zone, time is a plus for me when I travel abroad. Watch R rthe is sensitive to very light. The second hand stops running if the clock is in the dark for over 30 min.s, while other hands continue their movement. R rI also has a super slim Citizen Eco-drive. Together, these two clocks meet most of my needs. I wear a watch precision for very formal occasions and a Casio during training. R rSome minor problems: r rthe glass could be better. It's just crystal mineral (glass smooth hard surface). R Ronly 2 hands are illuminated. I can not read the time without signs of enlightened time! R rthe wacth is relatively heavy (but well-built)

This watch is really wonderful. I 've had this watch for a month now and he bought through Amazon for half the retail price. This watch is quite accurate; noticed an increase of 5 seconds after the first month of purchase. R rthe quality of the watch is very good. I bought this watch about a month ago. Has proved a good buy. High quality and very strong. It can be used by accident or for more demanding times. It has enough brightness to excel, but not so much bling that ashamed of vanity. R r see very solid recremmend others. I have had this watch for over a year now and have no complaints. There have been no issues with the function of the watch, and it continues to work as well as the day I bought it. Even when I have left it in a dark case for a couple of days, it still works fine when I finally bring it out for use. I also frequently get compliments on the watch. It looks more expensive than it actually is.

I buy watches for gifts. That's good looks and works very well, although a bit heavy.

I am very picky about watches in the past, I had a Seiko and a Buluva. I just had this watch for 1 month, but I love it and I'm sure that will be long. I found it very easy to configure all features, I did use the guide to some of the servants, but that was easy to understand. Great price from Amazon, great service from Amazon. I bought this watch (my first Citizen) 6 months ago and I think I love it more with each passing day. It is gorgeous and has many useful features. Very eye catching, very sturdy and rugged, and seems to be built with high quality materials. My wife loves it as much as I do. I found it easy to size the watch myself using an ordinary thumb tack and small needle nose pliers. Very pleased with this high quality product from Citizen. I am now a customer for life.

I was looking for a watch that was both elegant and robust and it was the show I came to select. I was very satisfied. What I was sold on his appearance. For me, the quality of the tape is as important as the machine itself. I love how it looks and is very comfortable to wear. The band and watch is stainless steel is very bright.
