Reviews

Had this watch for over a year. Great buy. Eco Drive is esp bad if you find yourself changing the batteries in your clocks earlier. It looks expensive and elegant. Light weight. Draw back is the silver / chrome around the clock not scrath very easily. The alarm is quite easy, and second time zone can be set in increments of 1 hour / decrease compared to the time set on your watch. Overall very happy with the product.

I 've owned this watch for about 3-4 years. My only complaint was the band. The band of cooking rice wasn 't really me. Plus, after about a year, the band, where it attaches to the case began to divide. I replaced the band with a plain, black leather band. I think they're better than the original band, and a little 'more comfortable. All in all, good watch. Takes good time.

The calendar feature of this particular piece is unique in style ... Who else has a calendar of all? I 've Had the watch for a couple of years now, and ever and when setting reasonable exposure to light interior (home office), or sunlight, never closes. If you lived in Alaska, without electricity, may have a problem during the winter months, but in the summer, do not worry:) r RNOW for the leather strap. The buckle is unique as the clock ... difficult at first, but you get used to it. The interior (leather?) Cladding is something like what you 'd find in a man ' s leather shoes - thin and bonded and stitched to the outer layer thicker. The color of the light soon, due to bleach skin oil, sweat or moisture and then cracks. The initial look and feel is plush. But time is on my wrist disintigrating. When the pins to attach the strap of the watch, the inner layer has cracked completely, exposing the adhesive, but none of this is visible on the outside. Changing the belt is another nightmare. I had to go to a jeweler to get it off and replaced, I intend to switch to a metal bracelet. The leather strap is simply not sustainable enough and replacements are expensive ... to $ 65, however, carried out in 12-18 months of daily use.

I bought this watch at Princess Cruises, at least $ 200. He earns about 5-10 seconds per month. Many people have commented on the look retrograde. I like how easy it is to set the time. With the most hits you have to wait until the second hand points to 12 and pull the crown all the way out. You would then set the minute astern in the correct settings as the facility to the front may lose some of the minute. You then push the crown to the exact time being careful not to rotate. With this watch you pull the crown all the way out and the second hand jumps to 12. A slight click of the button moves to the small back and forth a full minute. They then pushed the crown back to the exact time.

Citizen Men 's Eco-Drive Caliber 8700 Watch # BL8000-03A r rThis is light weight, look attractive. The many functions are easy to understand with the well written manual. The band seems to be of extremely high quality leather and the clock seems to come with a good warranty.

First, around the clock: I absolutely love it. Nothing wrong with saying to everybody, except maybe if you frequently need to set the alarm, it can become a bit 'annoying. When you set the alarm, hands don 't just go straight to the hours and minutes of warning time, but go round counting the minutes and hours. Also, if you don 't care what time the alarm has been previously set, but want to change, you still need to wait until it arrives at the first time previously set alarm that allows you to adjust it. Since I will rarely use the alarm, it 's no big deal and kinda fun to watch. R rNow, the belt: I bought this watch with a leather strap to keep the watch as light and comfortable as possible. The strap is made beautifully decorated with rich leather, and 's certainly much lighter than the steel bracelet. However, the deployment clasp on the strap was not well thought out. There are no sharp edges anywhere: two on each end of the hinge, and also the release buttons in the middle. Moreover, the boundaries of closing up considerably, which means at least one side is likely to cut into your wrist all the time. This is particularly problematic when the wrist is resting on a surface and the weight of the arm is based on the points sharp. (Others have wrists with different diameters have a different experience). Solution R rthe: I closed on one side of the hinge and a time and put that part in a vise (after wrapping in thick paper to avoid scratches). Slowly tightening its grip, I was able to take most of the curve outside of the closure. The whole process took maybe 5 minutes. The closure is immeasurably more comfortable now, and I 'm finally 100% satisfied with the watch. I thought I 'd share this strategy with anyone who can operate in the same problem!

I received it as a Christmas gift and agree with previous reviews that this is a visually attractive clock. I think the "complications " of the clock make it more interesting and compelling as a watch. I also think the grip for the bracelet leather goods are innovative, I think it will prolong the life of the bracelet that the band itself is not getting tugged each time I put it or take it off. R RI was told that the mini-dvd coming to the clock is very useful and it covers most of the features of the watch and clock settings in a very user friendly way (although there are Some minor feature that covers the user manual). Some may find the size manually imtimidating and saw some reviews indicate the watch is too complex. Do not panic! Once you understand that the clock is either the "mode " (1 pull the stem) or setting (2 pull outs of the stem), the meaning and operation is straightforward. Just use care to pull out only 1 (not 2) when attempting to set the mode, if you do two pull outs by mistake and the time mode, the guard 's time is stopped. R rthe leap year indicator is interesting and important for the perpetual calandar. I also think the days of the week pointer and scale is pretty cool. I think the high contrast black-on-white makes it easy to read and elegant watch makes enough for the office, but also casual enough for use any time. R ri have bought my share of low-end watches only to have it fail for one reason or another. Timex I didn 't even take a licking and it still failed (the stem no longer works, to set the time I pull it out and stop the clock until the time of day to take its settings). I hope that the clock will serve me for many years i 'll update this review every year let y ' all know.

It 'sa quality shows with interesting features, but I don ' t think you should have to read a user 's manual to determine just a wristwatch, but with this model, you do so. It is the only electronic device I 've run arcoss I absolutely need the manual to understand. C 'is quite frustrating that I don ' t buy another.

This was to present a 28-year anniversary. My husband is very happy with it and that makes me happy. It is a beautiful clock, and the various functions that will intrigue my husband. The pictures of the watch and the previous comments have been posted in the most helpful to take a choice.

I have found this to be very functional item, but changing from one mode to another is time consuming (literally). For the most part, I leave it in the local time mode and have GMT as "TIME ". The alarm works well, but I rarely use it. Setting and changing anything on the many readouts requires reading the thick booklet; nothing intuitive about it. I did not like the original leather strap (too bulky at the clasp and too small for my 8 "wrist) so I have replaced it. Overall, well worth the price paid, not having to change batteries or maintain a mainspring by winding or wearing is a tremendous convenience (compared to my Rolex or Omega).

Other observers say, the pictures don 't do this watch justice, and I want to reiterate that: This is a beautiful watch by size! Amazing detail on the face, and leather watch band buckles are very innovative, though sadly little uncomfortable for someone with small wrists like me. R RTO say that I 'm pleased with this watch will be right, I hope to put it and show it from every day. Control really aren 't that difficult once you understand some basics, even though the alarm may take a few moments to set the hands of having to revolve around, and may interfere with someone who often set the alarm. R rPROS r - Beautiful, sturdy watch for everyday clothing or r - Works exactly as advertised r - Very accurate (haven 't yet seen any difference in time) r rCONS r - Down buckles buttons on my wrists to cut into bits r - I don 't have 2 of them. =]

I ordered the 8700 a month ago and had used it since. It really works as expected and seems quite good. It feels solid and I don 't object to the "shiny look " someone else complained about. R rthe The only thing that I don 't quite like is how it works when you switch from time to alarm or local time - which miniute hand (not moving with clock hands) move along the path from the current time to alarm time / local time consuming enough time. R rOverall This is a watch.

Many have noted that this picture of the watch is not it justice. They are right! Although the pictures look nice, watch is magnificent to wrist. Light hit the point (around the dial) and the look is impressive ... to say the least. And it 'the Citizen so, of course, functions are stunning. Rif you 're interested in one, get one. I don 't think that you failed.

I was looking for a watch to wear everyday to work and DECIDED on buying a Citizen. After looking online, I had narrowed it down to a couple of models. I had looked at this early model, but wasn 't sure about the face. Lucky for me I stopped at a local jewelry store to look at watches in person. Needless to say, the watch looks much better than pictured and I picked it over the other Citizens I was looking at as well as some Seikos. R rthe contrast of the numerals and the face is very striking, while maintaining a very classic look . I have never owned a watch with this type of clasp on a leather band before, and it is unlikely I will ever go back. The speed and ease of putting it on is something that I have come to really appreciate. r rI found setting the time and date to be pretty straightforward. Changing the funcition to get the month can be best described as a minor annoyance, if you find the need to frequently check the month. The date is very readable and nicely placed, so that more than makes up for it. R rOverall, a great every day watch that I would definitely recommend. I ended buying it on the spot, even though the "dirty " price was about $ 20 more than the Amazon price because I wanted to take it home that day.

I just got this watch, and 's difficult to take your eyes off him. I looked at the Caliber 8700 with blue dial and stainless steel bracelet (which told me to get Citizen is one of its most popular models), but found really accents the white dial and silver, very striking in this model. And I like how the band defines the face. R ri really looked at every Citizen Watch on your site, and kept coming back for this one! The watch is very beautiful in person, the disc has some details to it, so it catches the light, especially with silver accents. R ras mentioned in other reviews, there are four basic ways that you can change to: r1. Time r2. Calendar r3. Local time (time zone ie, # 2) R4. Clock r rsince it 's not a digital clock (and we don ' t want to be great since it looks like an analog!) The hands have to show you everything. So, if Time is set to 3p, and you are traveling and are in Singapore, where it 's 3, then when you change the mode, it ' s going to turn the hands around 12 minutes to show you. This is not good if you want to check and see what time it 'back home ' is great, but if you travel, and Don 't want to keep resetting your watch. When you return home, simply change the connection back in time and you 're back in business. R RtheR three dials of the clock, in addition to the main hours / minutes hands, one is a connection of 24 hours, with a "day 'hand pointing to the corresponding time in 24 hour mode. Basically, this will help Distinguisher AM and PM times in the display, which is important when using the local time (time zone ie, # 2) and alarm modes, AM and PM to keep straight. R rNext is the mode dial that points of musculoskeletal disorders, CAL, LTM, or ALM to inform you so that you are in (time, calendar, local time, the alarm). And finally there is a link that points to the day of the week, can let you know if the alarm is activated or not, and can also let you know if this is a leap year, or how many years it 's been a year since leap;) r rthe watch also has an indicator on the day of the month the 4 'position of the clock, and this is a perpetual calendar, regardless of sound 30, 31 or 29 days in the month, will always be right! R ras mentioned earlier, the watch has a resource-saving energy when in the dark for about 30 minutes and not getting enough light to charge the clock will stop the second hand at 0 (12) to save energy . When light hits the disk, you will pass the second leg quickly to where it should be:) r ri will add that yes, this is a nice watch with lots of cool features, and you may have to do a little reading to find out all of them if you want to use them, but basically Citizen trying to make as easy as possible. They give a detailed instruction book, interactive lessons that give a free CD that comes with the watch, and you can go on their site and they will visually demonstrate the features for you too! What more can you ask?

I bought this clock as a gift for Christmas. It was received in good condition and just in time for the holidays. R rThank you!

I bought this watch as a Christmas present for my husband and I loved it! Of all the sites we tried, it was the best price we could get for the watch and we don 't be happier. The shipment was fast ... I think it took less than a week to get to me:) r rthe show is much better in person than we ever imagined. The only problem we had with the shows is that there were no instructions on how to adjust the strap. My husband took him to a jewelry store and he showed how it worked ... c 's not difficult at all. R rOverall we are very happy and I recommend this watch to anyone!

I bought this watch has a slightly dressier one in the line-up. I think it looks great. R rI a very thin (6.25 ") wrist, and I must have pushed an extra hole to make it compatible cord. Deployant clasp a rather large, and I can see some of the findings are not comfortable, but I don 't . That does not make big enough to watch under a tight shirt cuff for me. r rThis is watch a little complicated (which is part of what, in my opinion, make it beautiful), but I find taking the time to read the manual and working through different functions, it 's quite easy to use. There is consistency in all functions that ' s not too difficult to learn. r rI don 't use the alarm so I can ' t comment on it . r rI as second time zone and find the feature useful. r rI will actually buy the watch (or watch other citizens) again without hesitation.

Very good watch for the money. Cool to look and good quality for the price. Colds are smaller the second time is not as useful as you have to pull the crown, and then goes to the second area so you can 't see the two time zones simultaneously. Kinda defeats the Purps when traveling and wanting to see their home area at a glance. The others say that the alarm volume is low. Sometimes difficult to see the small details with older eyes. Overall, however, a good watch for $ 250.

I just found this watch to watch more than i needed! dont need two alarm time zone ---- this little book is like a telephone book instructions - others seem to love it - it was enough to see - but watch too much for me - and who could read the instruction booklet? not me ---- i was intimidated by these things !!!!!!!

Generally, a watch well done and very well cared for. However, I 've got 2 minor complaints. One, the day is hard to read, the letters are too small and engraved on a shiny surface. Basically, cramps too many things on a small clock face. Two, the belt is loose, even when set to the last hole for those with small wrist. This band has 7 holes for adjustment compared with the usual 9-10 holes for most other leather straps.

This watch is really nice. Looks great, very accurate (I 've only had it for a month now). The only problem is that if you have to set or check an alarm, it may take several minutes to do that depends on the current time and when the alarm in September This is not very useful for quick setting. Also, if you want to set the "other " time zone, can only be done in 1 hour inc / decreements. So, forget the difference of about 30 minutes. R rBut this is a trivial matter, hours / minutes the visibility was very good even in low light conditions: light reflected from the hand makes it easier to read.

It is a great product. Everything in the clock makes sense. I look good as what you in the picture. The only drawback is again the unrest that would not wake you, but you could use it as a reminder. R rGreat product and I fall in love with the clock more I see it.

I bought this watch as a gift for my husband who was very particular about what kind of watch he wanted. Never before had a watch, and she loves it!

I have owned this watch for almost two years. The features and functionality are well-balanced. The solar panels that rarely sees daylight from under my shirt sleeve, more batteries are not exhausted. The bracelet leather goods is comfortable and shows very little wear. After years of use, my only complaint is the metal is very easily scratched. Fortunately, the crystal / glass remained flawless. I had many people comment on the beauty of the watch. I will only buy properties that people after it enjoyable watch. R rUpdate: November 14, 2007. Rthe clock is held up as well as the 5-year warranty comes to an end. It took over 4 years of wearing the watch almost daily for the first blot out the glass. Bracelet shows some wear, and clasp is not given me any problems. Still very happy with my purchase!
