I bought this clock to replace the Citizen divers watch, which has served me well for the last 20 years. I see a chef as the clock all kinds of abuse. If I watch half of the wear of these that I from the other I will be more than satisfied. R R I have this clock for a few weeks, and now I love it! The dial lights up really bright and really easy to read in the dark.
Pros: r rCitizen 's BN0000-04H has something unique. He can not carry the weight of a TAG Heuer, Omega, Rolex, or other sport-diving watch (in the cold, hard $, "Prestige ", current weight or literal, of course), but it does have charm. R rWith this watch you get more time, keeping the qualities of a high grade quartz movement large Japanese quartz (always runs on a battery - yes, there is a specially designed titanium manganese battery in there), but without the need for any change of battery, always (at least 20 years by engineers Citizen 'estimates). This automatic movement blows out of the water in time of maintenance. It doesn 't have a fluid auto scan ' s second-hand (it ticks every 1 second), but for me to keep time is what counts in a watch, right? R rThis is a set it and forget to pay attention. He will continue to carry about 6 months in total darkness for a full charge. And if not stop, he 'll leave her full-time need maintenance, with only 15 minutes of summer sun. It will run once every 24-hours cycle with only 4 minutes of exposure to light. Eco-Drive is the new business in the watch movement. [EDIT: Not to mention that the internal battery is specially made non-toxic. It 'sa green machine.] R RAS to its pedigree, it ' sa real ISO-rated diving watch. There 's an easy way to count on the people: if it ' s an m after a thorough evaluation on the face, it 's ISO-rated. This isn 't just a theory of mine, is the citizen ' s own info product. This clock or watch the dive time. R rthe watch, some call it tight, feel like looking through a porthole in a submarine or something. It 'sa little deeper. I can tell time very well. Points hours are readable in all types of lighting situations. The fire is almost as good as Seiko 's LumiBrite, which means, very good. But it 's not Luminox to be sure. [EDIT: The Light, in my tests, it lasts well over a cycle of 12 hours in total darkness for only 15 seconds of direct charging with a flashlight. Don 't think it ' s brilliant in all these 12 hours later, however. But he has a beautiful glow green when charged.] R rthe mineral with glass dome, but you can see the time, even at a very steep angle. I like the dome, go with the feeling watch. The guy also has a pyramid very well done little grid pattern in shape. This could be the solar cell, but either way, it 's pretty the way it captures the light. R rWith hands, some say re ' "phallic " but I think they look more like candles. Haven 't seen hands like them anywhere, and I'm bored with all the arrowheads and drawings straight. And they 're beautiful, fat and visible in the dark. Moreover, everything 's described in chrome. It has the appearance of quality engineering. R r [EDIT: The lines of second hand almost perfectly with the little markers on the beveled edge inside. It 's perfect, spot required 50-59 seconds a minute on my own, but it isn ' t ever perfect one. And it varies from minute to minute 1.10 markers to lose it (but always 30-60 nail for some reason). You 'd never notice, but unless you put the watch to your face and look at him as a crazy person as I did before writing this. That 'sa very small amount of play in the movement, and for that price, is impressive. You get the same movement, even in the more expensive Eco-Drive Divers, by the way (for example, a guy with bright blue, and the famous "Eco-Zilla "). The minutes and hours, however, is exactly about that, every time.] R Ras to the window of time, I like small. Usually I know what day is today. I don 't need information, and that half of my watch. But I really like the font used in it. Looks like it could be used in a decompression table of the Navy. R rthe-frame is 60 clicks, compared with Seiko 's 120, so it feels a little rough. But I like to have it in 60. It 's more accurate. I 'm not going to need a time half a minute of anything with the rotating bezel, ever. [EDIT: I make perfect pasta using a frame, the purpose. Impresses his girlfriend. Thumbs up here. Also sometimes parking meters. No more tickets for me. In addition, the panel "break-in ", after a little spring and doesn 't feel so restless.] R banda rthe is very soft. It 's not hard or hard, as others say. It feels like high-grade rubber diving. But I have smaller wrists, which could put pressure on some guys it '. The watch looks good on smaller wrists, by the way, due to it 's smaller size. Doesn 't make me look like a coward. Big plus there. [EDIT: And because of the friction-grid pattern on the back of the band, moving doesn 't around the wrist at all. It 's planted there now.] R rand I mentioned the case is ONE PIECE OF SOLID STAINLESS STEEL? I can 't get over that. I haven 't seen that in any clock in any price range. [EDIT: The case is specially shaped in a mold of cast steel, not machined.] Just cool. Citizen is so confident in their engineering, they are much more difficult to open. And the water in, remember, 300M = 1,000 ft r rCons: r rthe screw-down crown. Don 't get me wrong, he has a quality feel (doesn ' t wobble when pulled out) and make it 's work. But I 'm not gonna lie, it ' s hard to get it bolted and hard to get it unscrewed position because the lip of steel that surrounds it.Seiko 's design in classic SKX007K, for example, is better. However, remember that the quartz movement? You 'll just have to unscrew the crown that about 5 times a year to set the date for months without 31 days. R rthe bezel was printed numbers. These seem very durable, all you 're done, and I haven ' t even scratched them even after a few direct hits. But the more he would have been to have pressed the numbers on the frame? R crystal rthe not embedded in the ring much at all. It 'll pick up dings / scratches the surface. But, hey, it 's a clock handy. Deserves some character. Do not get that anywhere near a crystal bril-pad, however, say, when washing dishes. You 'll regret it. It Ain 't sapphire. [EDIT: And ain 't 2K so who ' s complaining?] R rSummmary : r Rall in all, a great watch with a lot of personagem.Mantém the big time. = Not a comfortable lead on the sharp thing. Do not forget heavy = 's up there. Any change battery! A piece of steel! Eco-Drive technology is unsafe. This watch will give you at least 20 years of Maintainence time maintenance-free. And look good doing it ... ..
This watch is great. If you surf, windsurf or dive I recommend this watch. Accurate to the extreme. 3 months and has not lost dry. Luminous dots are highly visible at night. You can wear this to bed and it still glow dark at 00:00 in the morning 00:30. Simple, inexpensive, waterproof and rugged. To watch hands. Oh yeah, if you plan on doing any of the above activity, to get to watch with rubber wristbands, like this.
Buy at Amazon 4/8/08: Revised 5/19/09: Great watch. Works great. Exact. It is used when swimming and not a drop of water enters the story. Just make sure the crown is screwed down tight before entering the water. The modest size of the watch is very nice. It can be used for clothing or sports. My wife has a smaller version for women and also loves. I hope this watch or an updated version when it is about exhausted. R RUpdate 8/18/09 - Watch still working hard. He went on holiday to many different hotels and swam with the clock for hours. Moisture is not yet seen in the crystal. Great watch that keeps time accurate to 1 minute per year. RUpdate 10/8/09 - my watch and my wife 's clock is still accurate and water resistant. Great watch and looks great!
First of all I LOVE to watch this, it 's really nice ... BUT the box came a little torn and stunk like old products ... R Apart from all this, It 's eco drive, it ' s COOL, ecological, do not require batteries and have a good price! R rThank you amazon!
This was one of the Citizen 's first "drive eco " watches and is still in production! Mine is the "Diver 's 200 " and somewhere along the way citizen upgraded to 300 without changing the design. It 's worked perfectly for me, for over 10 years and remains one of my favorites due to finish in brushed steel, structured dial, raised markers hour hand and unique. Keep in mind that this is one of the smallest mens dive watches on the market to choose from. The case measures 40 millimeters in diagonal, however, the outer ring bezel measures 38 millimeters in diameter. So for the time you work your way to the dial, the clock seems to be less than 40 millimeters compared to the other clocks and the tendency today is to produce watches dive much larger than 40mm. However, I haven 't bought in huge wearing the new styles and think this watch is the right size. I gave up the right rubber band off and have worn various bands of 20 mm with it. I 've been waiting for Citzen to come out with stainless steel bracelet for her dress up. Has a classic style and minimalist, with a unique look that t 'doesn try to copy any other brands.
I 've had this watch 2 1 / 2 years. it 's been back for repair 4 times. The only good thing was the J & R Jeweler 's warranty. First the metal band broke after a year. I could live with that goal 20 months it started to loose time. I put up with this for a couple of months. Than it would stop running. The manual claims it will run for 6 months after full charge. I charged it according to the manual, stopped after two weeks. Took it to J & R they sent it back. Waited 6 weeks got it back, nothing was fixed. rSent back 3 more times (wait a month each time) and still has not been fixed. The $ 10 walmart special I bought as backup keeps better time and when it stops, $ 10 for a new watch. Save your $ 200 Don 't buy this watch.
I have the older version of the same clock (battery operated model) for 20 years and it 's been a great watch. But thanks to the daily wear It 's looking pretty battered, then for God's appearance (especially at work) I upgraded to this model solar. I love it! And I'll never 't have to take it to get a new battery or worry later whether the seal will perform while swimming, kayaking or body-surfing. After years of using my old watch with nylon / velcro band watch this new watch band, rubber bulky and uncomfortable, so he ordered a military-style nylon belt to replace the rubber. This watch, slightly modified by the band of nylon ordered separately, is superb.
Watch is very light weight and works perfect as it says under the specs.
This watch is definitely is more utilitarian than dressy. The band is accommodating to any size wrist very thin wrists large. I took the watch on a couple 30-foot diving and not ¨ 't leaking and is easy to read underwater. It 'a little' cumbersome to wear every day, but you can get used to it over time. The bezel operates freely in the crown was a bit 'difficult to unlock the first time to set to set the clock. The packaging is beautiful and would be a great gift for an underwater diving adventures.
I have my Titanium Eco-Watch since the late 1990s, and it 's still going strong. Not only that, it is the most accurate clock I 've ever had. No replacement of batteries, amazingly accurate, attractive, waterproof - what more do you want from a clock?
I just bought this watch to replace my Seiko Diver 's (quartz-movement pattern quite frankly the only way to go ... don ' t even think about perpetual or automatic) and I can tell you that I 'm quite Pleased with my new purchase. It will have some pretty big shoes to son since the Seiko I've lasted 24 years (and still looks and works great!). If you own or have owned in Diver 's watch you ' ll know the pains of having to deal with the jewellers - either it 's battery issue (they don ' t install the proper battery or if they do it lasts a year because it 's the shelf life expired when they installed it), and ridiculous service charge ($ 45 to $ 100 and often weeks before you can get it back) or they simply don ' t want to touch it because it ' Sa "Diver 's ". rThis watch will solve all these problems. It looks as rich as the Seiko but not quite as large or as heavy. The rubber band is made in China and I know that I 'll have to one day replace it (just like I had to with my Seiko) but this aside the watch itself does look of equal quality. The date works just like any other analog watch and its size is just right for this model (remember we 're not diving for days at a time). Also, a lot of people forget that the date changes at twelve AM and fail to Distinguisher AM / PM when setting the time, and, like any other analog date watch, it will cycle through 31 days (for days so that don 't have 31 days, yes you will have to manually reset date). Overall, for the value, this is a great watch to buy!
I was looking for a sporty looking watch that I can use every day and that I don 't need to take off every time I swim, shower, wash the car, etc ... This watch is modest looking, meaning it doesn 't have any bells and whistles but stands out by its simplicity. I personally find the eco-drive system and sophisticated I am excited about not having to change any batteries or getting it pressure tested every time I do that. If you are thinking of buying this watch for everyday use, make sure it suits your personality. I think a nice watch on your wrist says a lot about your personality. So be careful how you project your self image! r rthe watch is also Characterized by its weight - it is not heavy nor does it feel fake - so it rests well on your wrist. The strap is made of rubber and is comfortable around the wrist. You are going to have to get used to the screw locking mechanism - it is a bit tricky in the beginning, but easy to figure out. Just make sure you play around with it a little bit before your first dive. R rI am sure you are going to love this watch if you decide to get it.
Keeps accurate time, bright hands, not too large, comfortable to wear, durable, solid and well-made. The entire case is sealed Thus no way to allow water in as long as you keep the crown screwed tight. Would recommend to anyone!
I got this watch about 5 years ago in Nassau. I am a very active person and I have worn 24 hours a day since then, and subjected to the abuse of time. I have only taken it occasionally to set the date, time, etc. I've used it dozens of times for diving in fresh and salt water to more than 100 meters deep, as well as snorkeling, wearing it in the pool, shower, etc. has been exposed to soaps, detergents, solvents, scraping across concrete and rocks fell on a hard surface, etc. It keeps very good time and never misses a beat. The bonds that hold the band band broke over a couple of years ago. I replaced them with 2 rings slipped over the handle at the end buckle to secure the tape over. I have the crystal very badly scratched and worn the numbers off the frame and the dive tables off the strap. The stainless steel case and doesn 't show much abuse, but the rest do not. The belt is cracked by The Edge for small holes in the sides and some places need to be replaced. R rthe things I really like about it is the durability, maintenance-free battery unit (echo), precision and low profile. I was in the dark for more than a couple of days and never had a power outage due to lack of light and never paid attention to expose it to light, except to hold it under a lamp or overhead light aircraft, sometimes for a few seconds to try to get some more lighting hands at night. It seems very thin compared to other watches the same thickness (11 mm), due to the edges of the frame to be chamfered and rounded to be discreet. I like the low profile of small diameter and light weight to keep it out of the path. R rmy only complaints are: the bracelet is $ 45, I wish the panel had the number written instead of printed on it (for aesthetic reasons, due to wear), I wish the glass was more difficult, and hands brighter. All these things are pretty much par for the price point. WKH 'm looking for a replacement due to wear the band of cosmetics and costing $ 45 and the fact that I haven 't had much luck with cheap replacement bands in the past for other clocks. I'm thinking of a Luminox Seiko cosmetic or for more durable panel, perhaps a more resistant crystal, and better night lighting, but they all feel thicker and heavier. If it only had a lens taped like to get another one and maybe it will be anyway. R RI recommend this watch and rate high especially considering the price.
I've had this clock for over 5 years, and daily wear. I bought a Cayman Islands and I think I paid more than the price from Amazon. R GH loves the Eco-Drive, as never need attention. About a year ago, the Eco-drive mechanism was bad and sent it to the people. It replaced the mechanism of self, saying that was his problem. Kudos to them on that. R GH have been able to scratch the glass, but only after heavy abuse) The band around the outside number is even, and the day I bought. The numbers of the metal band around the face never disappeared, but the outside edge of the band is pretty smooth now. R rthe letters disappeared from the band after a year, so if you intend to use the dive table that is in hand, Don 't use daily. If not, be smart and bring your own dive table card or plastic in your old dive computer. R rthe band has finally done after 5 years (which is how I got here). The two owners of small strap broke in the last 2 weeks (through wearing of), and the band is taking strong measures, but only in the holes (still has great). R r to buy this watch again, and obviously recommend it.
The Citizen Eco Drive Dive watch is a watch well enough. Forget the Women 's model, however. I bought it, so as not to wear my hi-tech ceramic Chanel diving and sport watches smash the bracelet in a head coral (I know, I know!) Women 's model is sound teeney it ' s embarrassed to be a Dive Watch. About the size of the Rolex Women 's Just Date without the Rolex and Rolex Cachet ... isn 't watch sports. Nobody would want to read the time dots crowded for time, or the number teeny bezel underwater ... looks like a toy ... and you can 't read the date at all ... so I ended with the man 's version. R rthe man 's not too big, not overbalanced with too many gadgets that blocks Lopsided wrist and bruises - as many. But the indications? If you followed faithfully, you spend a lot of time trying to pull straight up to the crown. On other sites, people swore their crowns were shipped "broken ". I think it's just way wrong. You have to unscrew the stem counter-clockwise first then pull up ... like virtually all other sports watch. He took me kayaking diving and snorkeling in Hawaii, knowing that if I 'Lost "The Watch would still retain much of the time from the battery perpetual calendar. Good idea AMD bezel very bright and easy to navigate too. Who needs battery down time?
Classic design and exact time keeping the great features of this watch, let alone be an eco-drive ever need to replace the battery. The only downisde to see this would be the logo embossed on the back of the body clock. While most watches are smooth on the back, the logo has raised tended to scratch the first few days of wearing this watch. It has not left a mark, but sometimes it would be a bit 'uncomfortable. I persevered and after a little 'smarter.
Simple clock seems to be bullet proof, accurate w / no maintenance required. Simple, clear lines. Only improvement would be that the date indicator slightly larger.
This is a good all around yesterday. Rit keeps excellent time, the Lums are light and durable. Rit 'is smaller than I and the stem is real small for the point of being strong. Rit pierces me from time to time. Ri replaced the rubber strap with a strap Zulu, it is much better now.
I bought this watch for water sports and other outdoor activities. She may feel a little heavier on the wrist compared to other watches - but it 'minor inconvenience SA for toughness and durability unmatched you get in return. R any party that is one drawback - the first time before the month changed, right after I got my watch, it is past 31 days to one month of 30 days. I thought I could simply adjust the date. Unfortunately, it 's impossible to determine what month the watch is preset to display the date can always be defined from "1 " with "31 " and you can ' t run towards the 'rear. Otherwise, the watch itself is extremely accurate.
I 've had this watch a little less than two years, I paid $ 145. Overall, it took some time, and never run out of juice. I found the small print the date and I am constantly changing every month, I never do and the date is always wrong. I dove with the show several times and it has generally preformed up 'til now. During my last dive, I swear I had the screw-locked and the water returned to a depth of only 40 feet. I sent in for repair citizen (he is still under warrenty) and they want almost $ 100 for the repair and are not very friendly. Still debating on whether to pay or just buy into something different.
I 've had a year earlier Aqualand had to replace, but is no longer necessary because the characteristics of buying a dive computer. The clock keeps very good time and I've had no problems with it under water. My main concern was the fact that I have a small wrist and my Aqualand was a compact analog and I wanted the same size, but this version of Aqualand isn 't find more. The size of the work on me It 's not a bulky instrument. JC Penny is full pop for these guys, while Amazon had the 50% discount.
How does a quartz compared with an automatic? Early in my research I have concluded that Seiko 's $ 80 Pro Diver # 8926, while highly valued, is a curiosity. Auto is for collectors. They are heavier, uncomfortable, the deflation of rubbing and constant adaptation is more complicated. Even setting the time and wear it for 3 consecutive days in order to keep it free from the wound that you begin to win. Mine accelerates around a minute a day. R rInvicta 's shine in the s. dark and bright function was useful until I compared it to the public 'I can ' load 'Eco-Drive line and use it as a flashlight. It remains bright twice as long as s. Invicta ' R rInvicta successfully copied the style, weight and appearance of a Rolex Submariner, however, they forgot to include some of the quality. And close ties are durable and reliable, but they show scratches so quickly that I prefer Citizen 's urethane just because it is never damaged. I found an online tutorial that shows how easy it is fond of scratching and repainting of the brushed steel look, but the Invicta is more suited to be a dress watch imitation. R RAS far as I know, nobody knows the duration of the Eco-Drive battery or lower limits for charging. Mine never runs out. One minute it charges the light of day for three days. I hope the band to see and carry out long before the battery and Eco-Drive not. R Rif which you synchronize Invicta no way to stop the second hand. I can see why this watch is not in danger of going from the timer rules. You can pull the crown on the citizen and stop the second hand. I have found through experimentation that should set the second hand after two seconds, then the time. When you change the source of the atomic clock at the minute, the time lag in the momentum of the crown is made and your clock is in sync. The citizen will remain in sync with the atomic clock time indefinitely. R rInvicta rattles a bit and I 'm not sure if the Miyota movement is loose. The movement is very fun to watch but yet is only a curiosity. I advise choosing a Citizen, Seiko, Orient, or if you are looking for an affordable diving. R RSOM of these comparisons are organic to the quartz-vs-automatic argument and should not dissuade anyone from collecting automatic watches of its engineering. However, if you wear a watch so you know exactly what time, to avoid automatic. SeaHunt I like too, but if there was a quartz citizens in the 60, Mike Nelson would have opted for function over style.
I have been watching this for several weeks and I liked it. The most amazing thing about it is the level of accuracy. I also have a Casio G-Shock Atomic Watch who places himself every day for an atomic clock in Colorado and accurate to the second, well I synchronized my Casio and Citizen on June 1 and on this day (June 11) they are synchronized to the second . Citizen Eco is accurate? I have not taken this watch diving, but will soon, should be fine. I have 6 dive hours and this has all the necessary features: depth rating (300 meters), one way ratched bezel, crown protection, the appropriate string of wetsuit, etc.. RMY only criticism, and they are small, is that date way to small to read, they should just not have the dates and will be better with a more anti-reflection in the crystal, that in addition. This is a beautiful watch and I highly recommend!
