Watch again, because it was sent as new when it was obviously junk
I am very pleased with this watch. Ive been wearing it for one month and its only lost 3 seconds which is damn good for a realtively cheap watch. The Titanium is very strong and the Clasper is a very solid design. The peace Clasper has had a few scratches on it but thats to be expected considering im really rough on watches. One charge is good nessasary right out of the box cause it does ship completely dead and make sure you do an all-zero reset before you set the date and time. only thing i really dont like is the dual time zone feature takes a LONG time to catch up. im in the middle east now but man is 9 hours behind so if and switch to the I-9 tm Revolutions setting it takes to get to the right time. The easy way to do it would have been to just have the hour hand move. instead you have to spend the minute hand around and around and around. Either way its not a big deal to do the math unless you singing in your head
I like things user friendly. Here is the review rGood r-Nice looking r-Heavy duty clasp. I would have kept my last watch clasp but what flimsy and broke (9 year old watch) r RBAD r-to heavy. Last titanium I ownded was a lot lighter r Only the band is titanium r-I could not figure out how to change back the date. I miss placed the CD and the instructions do not say much r-After three weeks the thing just died.
Many people wrote nice comments and is already included a lot of information. I'll add a few words. GH'm really very disappointed with this 'Titanium watch '. Rthe biggest problem is that it 's not all ' all titanium '. Rback the case is made of steel. Caution. RSO if you look at some anti-allergic or watch real ' All Titanium 'Don ' t go for this item. RUnfortunately I only discovered this when I looked at the back of the clock. rthe other thing that is annoying and you would not expect this watch list to the price of $ 450 is second hand does not align with the markers at all. reales, although smaller, this watch seems to be heavier, then Skyhawk.
I have a lot of searching for a watch from all the brands priced between $ 200 - $ 400 one that it seems a fit (I bought for $ 315). R kilo purchase, I want to watch it: r1. Looks cool r2. Accurate so far. Than 15 seconds from time time.gov after almost three months. In my understanding, it is not bad. R3. Save energy. I used to have a Seiko Kinetic, but you need to swing for the first charge. I 'm not old but 400 times swing needs some energy. R rProblem: r1. mode so easily changed by accident (bad designed bezel), happens twice a week. It nakakainis. R2. Feel a little thick at first, but then used it. It depends on your taste, you may need to consider other watches if the care about thickness. R rOverall, it 'sa good one for me so far (3 months after purchase) and I want to recommend.
The clock works great. The only problem with that is the crown turns to easily select what are the different functions (alarm), chronograph, time. This is annoying, as it is in local time and alarm mode, the clock is not the current time. Other than that it 's great. It is a large clock, so you 'll not need a big wrist.
I did much research before buying this watch and spent several nights looking at the picture and read comments of other peoples of this clock, watches and other ... I finally decided on this watch, because work in the kitchen and needed something light, strong, light and resistant bacteria .. this watch is perfect for me .. the watch is great and very strong trust me (i test every day) ... is also very good when I dress for the night out .. never smells, and washes easily with soap and water ... no problems with the broken part as previous reviews, and generally no problem with anything .. R Rif had to pick any flaws i can think of only 2 .. R1) if you wear this watch in his left hand, sometimes hand turn the dial of the chronometer and alarm function ... but this is no problem because it still keeps accurate time in other roles ... only turn in again to reach the current time R2) if for some strange reason you depends on your wristwatch as your alarm only, not the clock for you .. the alarm is not very strong at all so if you're a doctor or a superhero style of Thoreau or hermit who lives in the woods, without electricity, but a titanium watch better to go with a loud alarm clock in a different ... but if you are a normal 21st century, that your cell phone or clock radio to wake up calls and important rock this awesome clock r als ... can not beat that price .... this is a regular $ 600 to see how this 50% discount .. money
use it for the day's work is good and resistente
As announced, the watch is light due to the band of titanium. Easy to read and adjust.
Clock. That is all that 's supposed to be done, and whether it was good. Titanium makes clear, though it 's big enough to read from a distance and looks like a serious piece of machinery. Some details that might be of interest to people considering buying one: r r1) second hand jumping around a lot. To explain, the watch is the sun, so power conservation is a must. When watching the light, and watches in the normal mode, the second hand ticks like you 'd expect. When the watch is in darkness, the second hand stops at 12 and just sat there until 's light again. When it 's exposed to light, the second hand rapidly right skitters second. Watch drive mechanism is more like a motorcycle than "normal " movement. This hands skitter happens to me all the time because I often wear a jacket or coat that covers the watch. I don 't know why, but it bothered me. I solved the problem by leaving the clock in chrono mode, where the second hand never move unless you 're time thing. R r2) As seen moving his hand. The same reason as above. Each minute is divided into 3-6 "cut, " and the minute hand moves every 10-20 seconds in discrete "checkbox. " R r3) hands hands never _exactly_ points to 12, a little disturbing my OCD sensitivity. It 's probably a quarter or half a degree off. R R4) A pin fell from the band in the first few weeks I was. I thought it might have broken spring jewelry store out of the pin when I first got the band resized, but I 'm not sure. (The pin is actually very wishbone elongated cylindrical shape, not just the metal cylinder.) There is no one around me (in NYC!) Take a replacement, so I had to order from Citizen, which costs $ 6 and took 1.5 weeks. R rOverall however, still very happy with it and use it almost every day as my daily watch out of a decent collection.
Be I 've read all the other reviews of this product, and I must say that they seem to point in most cases. The clock is a little thicker than anything I ve seen 'ever worn, but that doesn ' t take away from the experience. The controls are easy to use, and instructions for setting time / date / month / year for the perpetual calendar were a little hard to understand at first, but everything you need to do is take some time. It took about 5 minutes, set the clock. R r found ************ ************ alarm mode WORK r ri have to make a correction on the alarm function. It is not working properly only alarm in the alarm mode. After messing with it for a while, I now know that you can set the alarm and still the clock in the normal mode, and the alarm will sound once per day. In alarm mode, the second hand points to (Off-Alarm Alarm /) Where along the outer ring, you can change this by drawing in alarm mode / the knob from the first or second position and then pressing the A button . It will switch back and forth between on and off. I hope this helps with the misinformation. The instruction manual doesn 't do a good job explaining it, or so it ' s very easy to miss on the first or third inspection. R rThe Alert Chime is loud enough. Now I know there are a handful of people threw the alarm isn 't Lauter, but give me a break. The alarm is loud enough when you awake, sitting in anything but a noisy environment, it is in order. If you really like a clock to wake alarm loud enough for you, then expect to be disturbed by all means, but for my two cents. All of you should use this setting in relation to the alarm chime a step back and reassess your needs when it comes to a wristwatch. R ri 'd say I have an average diameter of, and the chain out of the box was a little long. I like my watches to be loose, but not in a position to over-rotate. So I went to Wal-Mart, and use their tools to take two sections of the chain. It was very easy, but almost lost the inner sleeve. (It 'sa very small staff Hallow the department through the tube to hold the chain from one side to the other along the links. If someone tries this, make sure you don ' t lose that small sleeve. The right sleeve slides back into it 's Hole, because it only goes in one way. r rThe chronograph will be very helpful, while the long distance running. I don ' t like digital watches, but really fails to able to keep accurate time during my race. The established way of chronographs to time, could say something more than 1 hour a little hard to find. I haven 't check it out, but for timing an event for min 15th min or even 50th would be ok. Also for the first few seconds, shows the second hand turn, then each additional one-second mark at a time. r rThis is my second Citizen Eco-Drive see and I love their style and craftsmanship. My last clock was a Citizen Corso BM8080 Model # 59m, and it 's been good for the last 3 years. The face has suffered a real defeat, and the band has decided to be better than I had expected. r r *
I 've owned this watch now for a month and it has turned out to be one of the best I own Timepieces, I ' m quite impressed. I have 5 others including Seikos and Bretlings but this has become my favorite. I love the Eco-Drive and the watch is very accurate. I set it a month ago to my atomic clock and it has only varied by 2 seconds. I also like the anti-glare coating on the crystal and how clear the display is day or night. A bit heavier than expected for titanium and the date is somewhat hard to see at night but these are minor nits.
I 've had my clock for more than 3 weeks and I am 100% satisfied. I spent a very long time, saw the review from 250 to 400 and has one with it. This clock looks and feels great. Rsize: rI severe wanted to see, but not too heavy, it was overwhelming. RColorado: rthe titanium steel is a perfect balance and great color. During the search I also if getting into a blue dial and a black dial again ... this clock is perfect because it is a rich dark blue color depending on the light as it might seem either ink discussed. Rfunction: rthe perpetual calendar rocks ...... Who wants to have the clock reset each month. It has an easy to read face and the luminescence at night is wonderful. The 1 / 20 Chronograph will probably not used much, but the technical features are awesome. Tachymeter makes it fun to calculate how fast your traveling friends / mile ... Surprise your friends when you see your gas gauge drop in those days ... unless you have a Prius. ROverall: rThis Clock has everything I was looking for. You don 't have to change the battery, looks good, is large enough, without too heavy
Very nice clock, but moving the adjustment time constant way to alarm local time ... This is a problem because when I check the weather, sometimes the value is in alarm, which means I have to adjust to new time and I wait for the clock to adjust. This becomes frustrating!
I 've had this watch for about a week. I 't believe that this watch offers all its features (alarm, chrono, perp. Calendar, Eco-drive, solid titanium) for such a low price. R rthe watch is relatively lightweight and extremely easy to read. The band is comfortable. For the number of features that watch is, I spent several minutes reading the instruction book before I adjusted anything. When you figure out how to fix things, it 's pretty simple. R Rif you 're looking for a feature-packed watch ' s attractive and stylish, consider adding to your list of options. For all the features packed in this watch, it should easily sell for $ 100 more than the list price.
I am using this watch for over a year now, and give him a 5 stars! I love the design, appearance and functions of this watch. Exceeding all expectations in appearance and operation. This watch is everything I expected and more. Rthe good rthe step by step manual is easy to understand even for non-geek type. R-rthe dark blue field with a cross texture looks trendy line against the line of titanium and white letters. It is easy to read even in dim light. R rthe glass is very difficult and has suffered some minor scratches because I hit the car door and other things by accident many times. R rthe 22mm wide belt is fleshy and goes well with casual and formal. I also tried to change the metal band strp me - I bought a 22-mm brown leather. The titanium case is going well with brown leather strap. Be sure to use caution when changing the belt and put the new titanium strap is a bit complicated. R rthe alarm is weak, but that 's all you can expect to build clocks of heavy metals is not digital. R rThings I Don 't like: The mode function is a little annoying. Accidentally turning the crown slightly wishes to change the mode of adjustment that had - chrono, alarm, time, or localtime. Sometimes even moving the watch on his wrist could change the mode. This could be due to the fact that the crown is easy to turn, and the guard of the crown does not extend very far in the bottom of the clock, so it is very easy to rotate. R r Although the strap is made of titanium, is still easily scratched, especially the outside of each side of the strap and buckle. - May be the way they use as I use it really hard, steel and had been would 've been worse. R r In general, I am very satisfied with the clock - is a prized possession, and something you can own a decade or more without any problem.
This is the 3rd Citizen chronograph watch I 've owned in 38 years and it is by far the best. I like not having to deal with batteries (my first chronograph was a self winding mechanical). The face is easy to read (especially for the over 40 crowd) and the CLASP where the band has a double lock so it is less likely to come loose when you slide your arm in your coat sleeve. The only fault is the alarm is not loud enough to be usable in any but the most quiet environments but I don 't use the alarm for anything anyway. If you want an impressive looking "driver " watch you should consider this one. It is a good value at around $ 300.00.
I had done a fair amount of research in watches, when I lost my old watch (and decided on this. I liked the perpetual calendar function and the eco-drive technology. I dont really need many other functions, but also liked the look of the watch. Even though I knew that the thickness of the guard from the specifications, I was still a bit 'surprised to see how thick it really was - once I had some links removed to fit better the pulse, the thickness has not been a problem and does not seem so great. I like the look, havent had to switch from one mode to me, but I admit I havent spent a lot of time with the instruction manual again to try some of other features. For what it is, I was quite pleased so far.
Although having said by other reviewers, the 13mm thickness of this watch is still surprised me when I receive it. To put this in perspective, it is thicker than the Motorola Razor phone? R rThis watch purchased to replace the Seiko Kinetic, which is also quite large. Although the two look similar, I soon realized that Seiko and Citizen have taken very different approaches in building the innards. Kinetic has a capacitor / battery as a power source, but if it does not really mechanical. Citizen has an analog dial, but if not actually in the digital electronics, this Switch offers many functions. R rDue to the Titanium construction, this watch is also very light, my wife 's first reaction to be "This is a plastic? " It is quite comfortable to wear. I'll keep it.
On 11 August, I bought the Citizen Eco-Drive Men 's Perpetual Calendar Watch (stainless steel version) # BL5180-57L and am so satisfied that I have another Citizen Eco-Drive Clock from Amazon, bought today. There is no need to describe my joy, it's already taken in my other report noted. I looked for a long time to see this watch in real time before you get it on Amazon, and finally I gave up, I ordered it and is quite confident that people are offering good products. I wasn 't disappointed at all. R ras its made of titanium, is very light, much more than a watch, stainless steel comparable. R engine rthe itself is quite tight, as 's first watch that I own that is quite precise about every second. R rCombine of this, it 's an Eco-Drive watch, besides the perpetual calendar, plus look great, it ' s the best watch I 've always wanted, and worth the price asked by most part.
I read the other reviews before buying this item, so if you are trying to do that same I will do you a favor and START with where I disagree with most other reviews. R r-The band made me perfectly, it is a mans watch after all. r r-The manual is terse but I like it that way, all you need to know without wasting your time. r r-Switching to CHRONO mode does not freeze the "Hands ', it causes the second hand to park @ 12:00 to the hours and still keep the latter selected last time. r r-I have had this watch you every day and never had it switch modes accidentally. r r-For "R. Yamane " specifically, who claims the case is not titanium, I would like to state that until some source for this info is cited I would have to doubt the veracity of this claim. I Noted that Citizen makes titanium versions of this watch with a leather band ... so what part is titanium in that instance? Also, Citizen says it is titanium and the word "TITANIUM " is etched on the back of the box and on the band. On the box cover, the metals (case and case back) are dissimilar and the label says clearly "" Titanuim St Steel Back ", so I really think it 'sa titanium case and band with a stainless steel case back. R r-For Franz Kafka "Joseph K. ", if the date is perpetually crooked, adjust it. The watch has adjustment means to allow the hands and date indicator to be micro-adjusted to center. The manual is short, have a look inside. R r This is not a dive watch. For diving use a dive computer and a Casio for backup. R r rI agree with pretty much everything else the others say. The watch is good value for money, seems well made overall and has a few minor flaws. r rthe only minor issue I have is that the date is buried deep inside a sort of well-viewing and this could tend to the date indicated in shadow unless you view at the right angle. Combined with the smallish date indicator I can 't see today's date at a fast glance. Since the date changes once per day and I 'm not senile yet, this is perfectly fine but it is an imperfection in the design and should be noted. R rthe bezel does turn reluctantly, but I never use it. The alarm, I have no idea as again, I never use it. Maybe it 's audible under water? ;) R rone interesting design choice is that the minutes hand moves in 15 second (1 / 4 minute) intervals. Cute. I guess since the second hand is (apparently) on an independent drive to enable the timed function the designers Decided to make the minute hand indicate 'biased minutes '. I don 't recall my last chrono doing that. R rit ' s titanium, water resistant, never needs batteries (if you store it in a lighted area), doesn 't require monthly date adjustments and simply does what a watch should do - give the time without hassle. Bottom line, it 's an affordable timepiece that is comfortable to wear and reasonably attractive. I would buy it again, but also look at the AT0400-57E if perpetual calendar is not important to you. R rI 'm deducting one star simply Because at 13mm it is really thick. The AT0400-57E is also 10mm thick if that matters to you.
I read some reviews of this watch before making my purchase. This turned out to be one of the rare cases where just about everything I read was right. On the plus side, look at the hand is better than in pictures. The light in the dark and the signature bright blue light throughout the night. I have been wearing Stiletto Citizen Eco-drive every day for more than three years so I was familiar with the reliability and hassle-free use. The stop-watch chronograph features an easy to use, but I find 1 / 20 second increments rather strange - why not 1 / 10 seconds? I think the perpetual calendar feature is the "beast " - the children told me that means really great and cool. What, no one says "fun " again? Of course, this is a signature feature and one of the reasons why I chose this model. R Ron the bottom, and the factors that led to a 4-star rating of more than 5-stars, the crown is not accidentally turn sometimes leads to a change in the mode settings. I have found that only a small disturbance, and it 's still new enough that I ' m tickled to see the hands spinning back to the time when I change it back to the standby time. The first time I turned the panel was very stiff and I accidentally turned the crown, but the panel a little more loose now and I no longer hit the crown when I play. I have found the alarm should really not worth it. I must hold to your ear for hours to hear the alarm. I prefer that the clock did not even have that feature than a feature that is of no value at all. R rthe band long enough to accommodate a thick wrist so most people will have to have some links taken. You can do it yourself if you 're handy kind of guy (like myself). Look for the link with the arrow on the inside of the band. Use push pins to push the pin in the direction of the arrow (don 't waste your money on one of the push-pin devices). Pin will stick out the other end and you can draw with a needle-nosed pliers. Be careful when doing this (and do it on the table) because there are such small-arms in the appropriate device in the middle of each hinge that provides the friction that holds pins (think about the toilet paper roll gap on the one hand and shrinking up to about 2 millimeters long). If you fall out just put back in place in the middle of the hinge - it will only go in one way - before reinserting the pin. If you lost one pin will be loose and have a tendency to fall out and you'll have to order a replacement from the Citizen. Then remove the link necessary and reassemble. There is another adjustment in the form of a series of three holes on the hook where it attached to the band - you can move the pin to adjust the length of the band with a small amount to perfect. Be warned that the pin is attached to the hook band NOT like other solid pins that hold the links together. It IS one of the spring watchband pins that everyone familiar with. If you push hard with the pushpin is as though you were removing the link will be flying into space was never seen again and you'll get a replacement from your jewelry. Please don 't ask me how I know about it. R rall things considered, I am quite satisfied with the watch - it 'sa sharp look at his watch, Eco-Drive movement that tried and true, and I ' m sure it will be a favorite for years to be come. I think this is worth watching for the purchase price. R Rok - if anyone knows what the gauge tachymeter is all about?
Update this review after I have had the clock for more than a year, I remain very happy with it. (In fact, I recently decided to buy another citizen based on my positive experience with this basis.) I have a number of Swiss and Japanese watches had before, so I have some basis for comparison. R , as to the functions that this clock has something for everyone, light weight, good water resistance, diver-style rotating bezel, tachometer, chronometer, dual time, perpetual calendar (never change the date again) and even alarm. For each of these functions, there are other watches that are better in some ways, but this is a great combination. For example, some of the silent alarm (which I do not complain) to use. R looks as members, it is nice when you can show your photos. The dial is almost black. It is nicely decorated with small white markings, writings, etc., details, very much like a Breitling clock would be overloaded. The numbers and the hour and minute hands are very clean and in an air style, to see how Bell & Ross. Basically, in order to see this clock in comparison with the big guns that cost thousands of dollars. R rare there disadvantages? I wish it were a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. To this price, it is expected this, so that no stars deducted. I just hope it holds in the long run, because I never was a solar-powered clock. Another problem with not to mention the other guests too, is that the crown too easy to accidentally move you from time to switch cronograph or alarm mode. The return to normal time mode, you could take almost a minute and bring the hands slowly back into position. R rHighly recommended overall. If you like big watches chronometer-style, go for it.
I have two other titanium Eco-Drive watch. I bought this one because I like the weight of other titanium watch myself and the asthetics are appealing. The truth has always feature Calendar is also the final selling point. Rbut ... Beware, this case has a stainless steel light detracts from aspects of watch. RLIKE some of the other reviews, I also have had issues with crown reseting mode. When I check my watch for hours, need to check the mode first to ensure that it displays the time and the alarm or the second time zone. Ras the caveat, do I accept I wear my watch on my left wrist so the crown come in contact with my wrist w / pressure of more than one person can wear it right wrist (just something noticed). RFinally, don 't even consider the alarm function. I tested it the first day it is and the first two occasions I set the alarm for a few minutes early present. On both occasions I couldn 't hear the alarm. Try the third time I watch the clock and held up to my ears. Only then can hear the alarm. Only Superman (or the Mother, you know that you can hear through the walls) the alarm would find useful.
