Reviews

This watch is a great buy for the money. I bought the watch for ~ $ 400 USD due to a math / error discount at a local jeweler. The dials are mostly easy to read, no need for a battery, dual time zone without any button presses, and atomic sync are why I bought the watch. It delivers on all these promises. The watch appears to be of quality construction and came with a 5 year manufacturer warranty. One thing I did not realize (or check prior to purchase) is that there is no way to know the date by simply looking at the watch face. For a watch that has so many dials why isn 't there a date box like my $ 18 Casio? r rOverall, a great watch, I would recommend to friends or anyone who asked. If you ever need to know the date immediately, do not buy this watch.

I had the citizen Skyhawk atomic clock a year and have never been happier with a clock. My previous watch was in Omega Speedmaster was heavy and clumsy and lost one minute each day. I began to be seriously interested in buying a watch with extreme precision. Living in Australia, I thought that radio-controlled atomic clock was out of the question, because Don 't have any time atomic emission signals here. When I tried to watch the precision of research I discovered that the term used for a precision clock is a timer, and the world's most accurate clocks were made by Breitling in particular SuperQuartz models. However, these costs to $ 5000.00 or more, which is a bit of a stretch of the portfolio. And then, to my surprise, I discovered a website where people in Australia was announced that the atomic clocks / watches were picking up a signal from time abroad. A pilot here in Brisbane, published an analysis of its great Citizen Skyhawk AT and said he regularly picked up the clock signal when the Japanese at night. As soon as I read your site, I bought one too, and I 't looked back. R r rPros: r rWhat more like this clock is that 's set and forget - the radio controlled, never need to adjust the time, never, ¡y punto! I have an atomic precision - more precise than quartz watches Breitling still loose 15 seconds a year - a fraction of the price. R GH have received many compliments on my watch family and colleagues alike. The clock has an attractive, large mark - then even more impressive in photos and images online. The stainless steel bracelet is very durable and some say heavy, but still only have a small wrist watch I felt very comfortable to drive and he was not upset about that at all. R rthe mineral glass is very strong and completely resistant to scratches - look, I work in an office so that 's not in the form of damage very often, but I ' t there was a esgarrinxada him alone for more than one year. R RI love the build quality of this watch - it was pure class! R rthe sun battery powered without full sunlight. The ambient light is enough to keep running at full capacity. R GH love the beautiful presentation box that I got - in addition to good support for my watch before bedtime. R r rcon: r rthe most difficult part in the creation of the suit to fit the bracelet to the wrist. The links are difficult to remove, and it took an hour or so for me to do well. R rjust as one critic said here, I wish I had used their time zones instead of cities as my town is too small for a rate mentioned. The pilots might prefer time zones too. R rSome people are concerned about wearing the crown of the repeated establishment of certain functions and that, although 's possible, almost never use mine like this all that I am not the slightest concern about it. R r Fakhri list: r IR like the LCD screen to be bigger. Not only serves to make more readable, but because it can display the date and time at once - seems a real shame that this type of waste fabulous atomic precision analog sun screen, so you can see the date. If Citizen - make a dual analog / digital time display, with additional space for the date also, the next time!

Arrived on time. The setup instructions were easy to follow. Charging did not take long. Have to watch place near east facing window of my apt to receive signal. I live in downtown San Francisco in the middle of large buildings. Watch Wears nice, doesn 't feel heavy or too big on my small wrist. I actually prefer having to pull out the crown to change the functions on this watch. I own another Citizen chrono Which just requires rotating the crown to change from time-chrono-alarm, and sometimes when that moves on my wrist watch, the crown rotates.

I have this watch and liked it enough to give one to my girlfriend (who was suffering with a fussy TISSOT with the DST rule of age). However, the steel is rather heavy (there's a titanium version, which is a bit lighter) and most important is the caliber U600 old a few years ago. R rin caliber U600, the calendar is the same as the digital time display. Because they generally have the digital display shows the time any other city in the local town, which means that in a calendar that will show the other city 's time instead of local date. For example, I have my "other city " set in Tokyo, and date display generally shows tomorrow 's date because Tokyo is 16-17 hours ahead of Seattle. This is 'ta problem with the U680 caliber. R rthe caliber U680 supports China as the fourth time radio signal and is a major revision of the design: you can set the timetable for the city separately from the city during the time digital display. R rCurrently, the caliber U680 is only available in Japan-Attesa only line that has no counterpart here. The Attesa has a face much less crowded despite having the same information, and a rather ordinary bevel aviation slide rule bezel. R rthe caliber U680 has been out for quite some time in Japan, but for some reason Citizen hasn 't made available here. R rthe manual for the U680 Attesa documents aviation slide rule bezel as "in some models ", but currently the U680 model has a gauge. If it appears in the Japanese model would Promaster Sky-Navihawk which is the Japanese equivalent of the U.S. Skyhawk. R rMost U.S. consumers probably Don 't take care of 4 bands (including China) instead of the band 3 (Japan, Europe, USA) that is here. But again, most American consumers probably Don 't need the slide rule of aviation and prefer a few more choices model, especially in titanium.

This watch is attractive, but be warned. The domed crystal is soft and therefore prone to scratching. His face soon became obscured in normal wear. Also, the lens 's paint wear away. Replacing two components will cost more than $ 130. This becomes a watch available at a high price. R ri learned the hard way. I would not buy this watch.

I 've owned this watch for over a year now. It 's my second Citizen watch (a watch with a dress) and overall I am extremely pleased with the brand and quality. The watch looks excellent and I received many compliments while wearing. R ri have a couple of referrals that are not necessarily say convinces me that much but I wanted to present it here should anyone citizenship under these examinations. R rIssues: r instructions are severely limiting. To watch this complex, it would have been nice if a little more citizen time spent making instructions clearer and easier to use. As another poster mentioned, they read like old VCR instructions. R rL 'DST has a delay feature that really gives you a full day of time before it catches up wrong with itself. Even try a manual reset does nothing. R r-control might be usable. I think many of the functions look unnecessarily complex. R r-My watch seems to be missing some names that are listed in the instructions. I read on some sites it is a little known software problem and you can mail the watch to get the updated software. The quality is that the cities disappeared Don 't adversely affect me directly, I don ' t Bother. R rOverall, the watch is excellent with looks to match.

Citizen Watch already had one and was quite familiar with their operation. But AT Skyhawk far exceeds the citizen that I have. For the price, you get an incredible number of features. And the manual is very concise and precise as far as how to define and exploit it. I like it a gauge on the face to tell you exactly what the state of charge. My other citizen doesn 't have that. And you can leave it in the box for a long time without the drums on "timing, because a feature automatic power saver. The backlit LCD screen is an invaluable asset to consider total darkness. I 'm happy to have spent money on this watch. It was worth every penny. And Amazon shipping was very fast. They beat the estimated delivery date for DAYS!

I love my new watch with a couple of stores. Firstly I wish they had used the time zones, instead of cities. Should I use my time for the central city of Chicago, but I 'm at the other end of the country. Second, I wish the timer feature used in analog hands instead of or in addition to the digital display. It would be much easier to read. Otherwise, I think it 's wonderful.

This is a review redundant. From the moment I received the watch I have been in love. Yes, it is very heavy. Yes, the book reads like a Russian novel, but with a glass of wine and a rest room, the complexity of this device will become apparent to the owner. You just read the instructions and deal with the various features. This watch does not require attention, but can support that toys often. Working good citizen to make a full, fun and affordable to see the rest of us. It is interesting to see the clock manually and it responds to the signal from Denver (I think).

I owned one of these watches for a couple of weeks. I only have a problem with it: I bought the day before the transition to summer time, and chose the timing of a day for another way instead of CAL RX-S. Failed to synchronize automatically. I was able to sort out quickly, and the clock is synchronized with success ever since. I think GH is a clock end. It shows well in the dark, even though defendant still wear long-sleeved shirts and sweaters (upstate New York is very cold this time of year), and has much visual interest. Displays day and date in the way of CAL, it is a requirement of mine. GH for different operating modes (time, for example), difficult to use, but that probably will improve with practice. The calculation rule is an add fun, but too small to be of real practical use, and the scales are small enough to be difficult to read (I am 67 years old). Rthe bracelet is an excellent fishing. The adjustment of normal wrist (moving up a pin or a row of holes) is not possible with this design though, and I plan to invest in a gadget to help you be a little longer. Rall in all, I am very happy with my new toy.

This is the best I had to hit my buck on a clock. R usability rthe is remarkably simplified compared to other Eco-Drive. Rthe Watch feels sturdy and looks really good. R Marabouts Atomic Time: rI am a strong believer of action in relation to this watch because:-r works. Since the U.S. and Europe (Tried Paris and London, I found London receives a very weak signal) r manually set the time on your watch (aka his ticking clock that is) just sit back. Rin age of GPS chips embedded everywhere, I'd love to know the clock to local time zone based on GPS location. R rRegarding multi time zone: rFinally! A multi time zone that is really convenient. Even if you're a globe trotter, you can interact with multiple time zone for work. Ryou to get some time zone set in the right panel with the A and B and then replace it with the left panel, pressing A + B simultaneously. This means that the time zone change is as simple as pressing A + B! The other good thing is that when you change time zones, only a small hand is rotating. Hence by moving 6 zones only takes half a turn. This used to be a pain in the Eco-Drive past where the hand for a long time to make a full rotation for every difference of hours. RSimple, elegant, without reading the guide to bring the User together. R rda bezel: rthe ring can be used to calculate all kinds of aircraft related things. That 's only useful if you fly in the front seat. I'm just using it for currency conversion, which is not too bad. R rtime , Countdown: Rall these resources are served by the digital display. I was expecting this as a feature analog, for some reason. Then again, my use of the timer is limited. R rAlarm : Rnic dual alarm. Beware of the tiny AM / PM PM who takes the first time you use it. R rRegarding Eco-Drive: rThis is my third Eco-Drive so far. Rafter try all kinds of problems by replacing the clock battery, the very concept of a clock that doesn 't need for maintenance is just too great to pass. My first Eco-Drive is 4 years and works well enough to get me to buy two more. Automatic watches command and 4 numbers above, you receive the appeal, but without the fuzz-for a fraction of that money. Rone Eco Drive weakness is the loss of reference (hands tends to lose accuracy and point the wrong day, for example). Gradually, this was set in new models. I will only be able to tell over time. Rthe indicator of charge level is really sweet While it may be a source of stress. The next thing you know you 'll always want a full charge! R rsize wise, just sa 'the large side, but somehow it doesn ' t look bulky on my wrist 5.9 inches. However, it is not easy to use all the buttons when using it.

Do not let the size scare you, this is a great watch! I bought the stainless version, because of my previous experiance with a Ti watch my own and those that are being repaired is not good. The first thing is the connection, although it seems overwhelming is so easy to read, the dial GMT is by far one of my favorite features. Second the back light on the digital displays address a common complaint of previous models, personally I like the bright orange LED, keep in mind that it will not light up like Timex 's or casio Indiglo ' s EL. Thirdly, your solar and atomic! What else do I have to say. There's a software problem with some of the watches Citizen 's customer service in this respect is one of the best I have found. The case and bracelet finish is excellent, and this is a non-integrated wrist strap leave the door open to change, but with this nice of a bracelet that would be? The only problem I have with mine is the design of the bracelet, because of the project closing tune is not closing, changes so small they are controlled by two half links on each side of the clasp. So far had no problems with the decals used in the slide rule, some of the previous sky-Hawks had these problems with peeling off. Compared to my older sky-hawk that blows you away, dial design / layout is first class, and all analog and digital functions. Also in the evolution of the function of the clock, through the trunk had no problem with that, you have to pull the crown out one notch, so when the stem is seated there is no desire to change the display or damage to the trunk. For the money in the GMT / Drivers Multifunction watch this category is the best in show, and man and get the steel, wearing much lighter than it is.

Don 't Let the failure of others discourage you from buying this beautiful watch. The only reason not to buy it is if you live out of range of transmitters atomic clock in Colorado, Japan and Germany. He has already done the automatic updates, including DST. The set only initial-up is necessary to select a city in your time zone, or options to adjust the GMT time zone for your "it " city (for example, -5 to a city in eastern Standard Time Zone). These two steps are clearly explained in the user manual. After that, you never have to set / reset / change anything. It will always be the exact time and will never need a new battery. Functionally, this really is the ultimate show.

I got this watch for my uniform Beater about 6 months ago, I was on vacation in Aruba. I got a lot cheaper than what 's now only in the states. This price list is well worth it though. I work at a command center 24 hours, and the only time we are Zulu. One of the main reasons I got this watch is the radius correction and the use UTC. It keeps perfect time, and is certainly a beautiful piece. I work with F-16 pilots, and they all love the way it looks, feels and works. 5 stars for me!

This is a beautiful and multifunctional clock. It is also about as easy as operating the Space Shuttle. I am generally a pretty handy guy, but read the instructions for this clock as in the old video recorder. It automatically the time when I first got it as a wedding gift a year ago, but it has not done since. You may not want to manually adjust the time, you can see with others by simply dragging the crown, to do a lengthy procedure. Even the jeweler where I bought it (who owns a similar Eco Drive) took 30 minutes to fix the time after I reset the time for my honeymoon in Mexico. Now they got 't "automatically reset " to summer time, even if it was set to do so. R rNote worth it, don 't buy it.

This is really a 4.5 stars to see instead of 5, the only dissadvantage this watch is light again is very week and very dark places is almost impossible to see. R GH bought this for my car for an early Christmas present. I've been looking around and pricing of atomic clocks a few years ago. When I saw this watch I really liked it. I like to dive and everything although I would have been if it had been more than 200 meters (500 meters that had been perfect). The clock is user proof that if you set something wrong you can reset the clock back to all factory settings. The CD that came with it helped create it and adjusting the settings. Rthe heavy steel one is heavy, when it became known that you have it on. The watch band is great because most tend to grab the hair on my arms, and when I take them off the hair falls out, but not this one. The band does not grasp the arm hair is a plus. The watch is solar powered with a built-in rechargeable battery. The clock will run according to the manual of the battery in 5 months only. R dissadvantage rthe only of this watch is light again is very week and very dark places is almost impossible to see. R GH this watch and Citizen Men 's Eco-Drive Skyhawk AT Watch # JY0005-50E r rthe positive of this watch are: rthe band does not grasp the arm hair. I have others that I paid more for that pull the hairs on my arm. Sync rAtomic time. Maybe he is ideal for watching the clock and not have to wonder if I forgot to reset it for daylight savings or not. REverything my work is not in the Eastern time and I live in central time, so set the digital to analog for central and eastern Europe. R rSome negatives are: rthe light on this watch is not bright and that makes the digital part of it to see expend any time, and hands him the luminescence is not that bright. So we see in dark areas may be close to useless. I've seen better and have paid more for worse, but one would think that this watch is about $ 500 with no problem. GH would like to see its depth, more water resistant 200 meters, 500 meters would be great. R rWhat had been present a perfect clock: rBetter backlighting. I have a clock that pressing the light button that will turn digital and analogue hands.

This was my first purchase from Amazon.Com and could not be happier! The site was very easy to use and my purchase arrived in 3-4 days via UPS. Product is superior, UPS has been great love (their monitoring system), and I intend to use Amazon.Com for future purchases!

Being a collector of watches for many years that I have many different brands of watches from Rolex, Omega, Movado including Seiko, Citizen Skyhawk This is the best of everything that I watch, I wear this watch special pride 80% the time and use the clock to set all my watches, this watch is the most reliable I know, never saw the need for an adjustment time. To see the lover who likes to see what people are using the confidence in me about it, people will watch this account, great! The best money I invested in a clock!

after reading the other reviews, I ordered it, and he does what is advertised.the only drawback is the readability of lcd.it is good rwhen you have it on your wrist, and you look at it, the from an angle of 45 rdegrees, down, which is the usual way that you rhowever when you look at it on the other hand, say 45 degrees up, the LCD fully disappears.I wonder if this is like should be, or if your only view my ... everything works fine.

After receiving the box, I was surprised how well the package is packed to prevent any accidental damage. The watch didn 't look as big as the size is made, in part because the dual tones of the watch and the tapering of the case that wraps a good sized wrist well. At first glance, this is a very busy looking for a watch with tonnes of complications in the face, however, when broken down into their individual parts, it really is great that organized Allows easy reading. The finish and materials of watch is very good and could rival similar designed steel watch from luxury brand. There are many functions in the clock and if the manual is also not read the owner, it can limit what owners can enjoy from the watch as the clock setting is complicated (even for something usually as setting time). Overall, a great looking clock that stood out for its rarity. R rSome bad points to watch is the use of mineral glass is not resistant to scratches and feature convex glass scratch encourage to be more visible it 's center and magnified his side . Second, all functions that the selection of crowns and crowns are not strong enough, it may be broken due to excessive wear and tear from changing the function. Third, the luminescent chemicals will not last long in the dark. R rPersonally, all the bad points are easily over-shadowed by other benefits and features of the watch, so I recommend this watch to individuals using E6B calculator and world time or People want to watch only provides practical complications to watch.

I spent a good three weeks researching various watches to replace the automatic that was failing to keep time. I was looking at the Caliber line of Citizen watches as well as the Seiko Coutura line, but I finally DECIDED that the Citizen Skyhawk AT was the only watch that had the three features that I really wanted: r r-Battery-free operation r-accuracy atomic clock r-Backlight r rLike others, I was a bit concerned about the size and weight, and I did try on the titanium version, Which costs $ 150 more, but I found that it was * too * light. It felt like I was wearing tinfoil. The stainless steel has a "reassuring, solid heft " to it, but it 's by no means too heavy. And, the attractive dial is Continually Attracting comments. Not to mention that the hands and large markers are easy to read against the black dial. It 'sa very striking watch, and quite noticeable. R rFeature-wise, this watch is jammed-pack, Which is quite amazing when you consider it ' sa solar-powered watch: time in 43 cities, countdown timer, chronograph, perpetual calendar, two alarms, and an atomic clock radio receiver?? I was a little concerned about it not getting enough light as I work in an office and wear long-sleeved shirts, but the power gauge never goes below "full charge. " Very reassuring, indeed. It was really amazing to pull it out of the box when I first got it, and all the needles spinning starting to put the watch to the correct time. R rthe only problem I 've had was with the daylight saving time feature . As I live in Phoenix, we don 't observe DST (who needs an extra hour of 120 degree heat!), And so sets the clock to Denver time and turned off the DST. But, every night, when the watch would receive the signal from the atomic clock in Colorado, I would wake up finding it an hour later than it really was, as the watch would automatically turn back on DST. After pouring through the manual, I found that you had to turn off both the DST for the city is set to watch, as well as turn it off for the atomic signal update. To do this second step, you have to set the sub-dial to turn the RX-S and "SMT " feature to "Ma " This essentially keeps the atomic clock signal from updating the DST feature. R rWith that figured out, I found that I really enjoy this watch immensely. It is a truly complicated watch - probably one of the most complicated I own, but the instructions are very clear. Also, I hear what other reviewers say about the backlight only showing the dates, but you can easily pull out the crown and switch between date and time, so if you put it on "TIME, " the backlight will display the time in the LCD. So, generally, I keep the watch on the calendar feature, so I know the date. But if I need to turn on the backlight to see the time, I pull out the crown, turn it clockwise one-quarter to the "TIME " selection, and push the light button. It sounds like a pain, but it really isn 't. I find that I could do this quickly and easily, even in a darkened movie theater. The trick is to keep both LCDs on your home time, so that the analog dial and the digital LCD show the same time. R ras for the links on the band, I wouldn 't recommend trying to remove them yourself. I tried using a thumb tack, as another review suggested, but it seemed that I had to force them out, and it felt like I was damaging the pins. So, I stopped at a local jeweler who sized my watch for $ 5. R RSO, in conclusion I 've owned many different watches over the years, including a Seiko Kinetic, which i really loved. But this is the first watch that I feel that would actually serve me for many years to come.

First of all, let me say that I really love this watch! There 's little I can add other reviews except to say that ' s all I hoped it would and I 'm VERY happy with me. Because I 'm kind of weird gadgets, this timepiece is perfect for me. R rThere is something you should know, however: Some versions of this watch has a software bug that will allow them to display the wrong dates in 2010. Citizens aware of this problem and will reprogram the free hours, but the bad news is that you must send it to their repair center. Did you watch the affected depends on the serial number on the back; calls for Citizen (800-321-1023 in the U.S.) will verify whether you need to send you. R RSO, knowing this, why I still give this review five stars? Well, the clock is awesome, and the fact that the Citizen is to proactively deal with this problem is very impressive. I placed two calls to numbers on these days and they were very polite, efficient, and useful. Kudos to the company's customer service is excellent and superior products.

To see ridges, but verry difficult to establish. RMust follow the instructions on the bundle CD that comes with the rwatch . Enjoy.

I received this watch as a gift and I 'm very satisfied. If you 're like me, like a clock rugged, this watch is a great buy. Citizen also offers a backlight on the digital display. Citizen Blue Angel edition I own the previous version of this watch and I was very satisfied, except for the lack of a backlight. Now, finally a backlit clock that automatically adjusts the atomic time. The watch is a bit 'heavy but otherwise its the best watches I ' ve owned. Besides being waterproof to 200 meters, luminous hands remain for a long period of time after that 's exposed to light. Watch the watch more expensive than it really is and I recommend this watch to people who do not mind a heavier than usual even look that does not need a battery and regulates the time, automatically 3 times daily.

I have this clock from [...] a few days back and I'm loving it. It has many nice features like synchronizing the ability to time using radio waves, etc. I live in Seattle, WA, and I got a good reception of the signal which I believe will be transferred to somewhere in Colorado. R rThis Clock is water resistant to 200 m. resitant so I don 't need to talk about these concerns in our regular wet rainy weather:) Above all, it is just looks and feels great:) very worth the money. Some people might see when looking for a bit bigger and heavier, but then I have a wide wrist / forearm and it looks good.
