I saw and tasted this watch a few times in some shops before I bought it here at Amazon. How every time Amazon sent the packet fast and without problems. RThen if I had this watch at my home, I was very lucky: this piece is really exceptional. The big case give a good feeling and the high-tec-looking good is a pleasure for me. RNo battery evermore, always exactly time (nearly) everywhere, some good chronographic utilities, indestructible and a watch case and strap, and also waterproof to 600 ft.. ri think this watch is one of these things, which I would keep at me on a lonely island; and I can advice it to everybody who likes extraordinary watches.
The GOOD: If you need dual time zone watch what he is. I deal with India, all the time and is challenging with almost any other show. India is 9 1 / 2 hours so it is one of the few countries that is a lag of 30 minutes in the time zone and does not change during the summer time so then thats 10 1 / 2 hours just trying to keep track and things fall apart. There are few shows that will manage an area of half-hour, except that one (even the old Skyhawk didn 't). This show does that and more, including alarms in different time zones so you can set the alarm in another time zone without a major operation to calculate the local time. Two alarms so keep one on the local and the second time in the world if you wish. If you're dealing with third countries London you get the UTC time zone under the dial and you can calculate most of Europe from so easily. R The watch is large and thick in its titanium weighs almost nothing as light as my children Casio r rthe BAD: contrast of the LCD screen is pretty bad. Rthe cons-day, although this is not the best. Rthe Hands cover the digital display several times a day, you can tilt and read on hand, but remember trying to put any function at 20 hours after the r rthe UGLY (it loses a star for this): If you plan to use the second screen for a time zone world, there is no way to see the local calendar. Just to see the schedule you have to pull the crown 1 Twist stop to change the mode and give you the schedule for the area world to have calendar functionality for the local area, you must define the area of world as your local area (you lose a simple way to see the area of the world). Simply put this watch can function as a watch in two areas, or as a calendar looks not both. R rThere are 2 nice press a button to light (great idea) and another to indicate whether the watch was able to synchronize with the atomic radio signal, it would have been much better if pressing this button would flashed the local calendar on the screen. Citizens could have easily put the atomic signal as an icon on the screen. Citizen side of the plate on this one I almost returned the watch due to the loss of the agenda, but I had been at a lower price to $ 510 (Amazon no other vendor) and this kind to let me forget the day and date. Just keep in mind if you need the calendar and world time (UTC Apart from London) at the same time, this watch is not a good job. He did a great job for everyone (including perpetual calendar), but not both
So I 've had this watch about a week now and I love it! Build quality is impressive and you can tell the Japanese workers is still strong. R rLooks - I think the watch looks great. And 'big enough for the wrist, but it looks good for today ' s standards. It 'looks like a heavy watch that was given to the designers to make elegant. If I had to make a car analogy, I 'd say that would have the same feeling as if Lexus did a heavy truck. RWorkmanship R - The quality is great. The hands line up perfectly on the mark. The second hand ticks in which the second hand is supposed to tick that I find annoying if it doesn 't. (I 've seen that omega don ' t even align properly.) The minute hand moves a little 'every time that the second hand ticks, the quality is definitely there. R rFunctions - Calendar, Timer, Chronograph, Alarm 1, Alarm 2, and, of course, Atomic Time Synchronization. There is also a dual time zone feature is very useful (home time zone and time zones away, just press a few buttons and switches to another and vice versa). The only problem is that if you want to display the current date, you'll be given the time zones away. This is a bit 'annoying to see the current time and date, the zones should be set to the same city. The calendar feature but would be more useful for real drivers (which I'm not) because it will probably actually land in the time zone away. R rWeight - This watch is a good weight, not too heavy, not too light. It is well balanced. This means that you must wait almost non-titanium (ie stainless steel), version to be very heavy! R rIlluminating hands - at night the lighting is pretty good. There is a wide area of lighting that makes it pretty easy to read. The lighting seems to die down fairly quickly but if I haven 't tested how long it lasts. (The clock can light up briefly during the day, when you are out in the sun and then walk into a room lit normally, I don 't mind it personally.) R rSliding Rule Bezel - I like function and I think that is really useful. If you take the time to learn this calculator old school, it really is clean and convenient. It is best for multiplication and division, doesn 't do addition or subtraction. R pen Drive - It 'hard to say how well it works, but so far so good. R rOverall - I love this watch, is robust and elegant. It also has an extremely impressive bells and whistles. Titanium looks good, but you also see the light enough to carry all the time without having to think about it. I give it 4.7 stars. Almost perfect.
I went to watch a long time thinking about and finally decided to make a decision. I have Rolex and other high end names in mind when I started and is ready to spend the $ $ to get what I want. However, Citizen that gave me a good package of options to watch it at a very reasonable price. I often cross time zones so the ability to switch to my local travel time while knowing the date and time at home is important to me. Having to worry about the battery is a big bonus and the automatic setting of time means one less thing I think about. R is Rif to thinking about saving a few bucks by not getting the model of titanium ... Enjoy! A world of difference between weight titanium and stainless steel mode. Unfortunately I can not find a dealer in my area that carries the titanium model, so I will go to faith. Maybe you won 't have to make the same leap of faith I. IF YOU, can I just say I was not disappointed. I was shocked how much lighter it.
This is the watch for if you want the status of the technology in a watch and a reasonable price amazing. You can shop aound for the best deal and if you do not mind the risk eBay has several shops offering half off. I buy most of my stuff from eBay, but sometimes you have extremely low prices. I was wrong twice on ebay and always buy only from ratings> 99% with many sales. RMost People buy this model for the first atomic clock. I live in California and it works very well. At first, I try to connect to the transmission of the atomic clock demand ". I do not know why it did not signal. Then I put next to the window of my room second floor bed. The next morning, when I check it updated by the atomic clock. (I check the clock against the United States over the web and also the status displays on the watch who said it successfully received from the radio signal and set the time with it) rthe second most likely to buy this watch is for solar energy. The watch when I get it is already fully charged (unlike to most cellular phones). The manual says it will last 6 months when fully charged. To fully charge the watch from almost completely discharged taking 20 hours in the sun or 60 hours with cloudy skies. I 'll be put under the sun once every 3 months or put under my desk lamp once a week. I wear my watch in a short sleeved long and never expose it to light. third Tirade is due to weight (titanium). Even if the watch is "Hugh " It is light, lighter than a standard Rolex. I have not tried other versions of the same shows, but you can save $ 50 to $ 100 for other versions that are heavier. If I have a second choice would be a black belt, which give the watch to look cooler in color. Every party has a lot of functions of this watch can do more and I'm not going to use. The watch came with a CD that has all the info you need adjustments to the watch. It's much better than the manual printing of very small I a difficult time reading. I'm copying CDs on my laptop. I can assure you that I do not remember how many of these things without referring to documentation. I 'll give you an example. The shows features a clock and a second house "World 'clock that you set on a city that you travel most often. Let ' s fly you here and now you want to switch between the two clocks.1. Pull the crown in position 1 (there are 2 positions). 2. Turn the crown to set the mode of TMS or lime (there are 8 modes). 3. Push button A and B together until you hear a sound. The two clocks were switch. 4. Turn the crown back to the initial mode. 5. Return crown to position. It is easy if you follow the instruction, but difficult to remember. Rthe size of the crown is large compared to other watches such as Rolex standard. It's ok if you only need to do a few things. If you try many things as I did when I was nine, you break your fingernail. So you may want to get a tool to help you if you plan to use the crown for more than 10 minutes. Almost all require adjustments using the crown. The chronograph functions, once set you are using only two buttons and not the crown over. Even for 2 alarms Once it is enabled. Ya much all the pro 'is to watch, but I want to say something about the con ' s. The LED display is too small for me and even the use of light, it is difficult to read. If you really want to use digital displays, you have a lot to look very good. I do not know what is the use of UTC time and the minute hand? R12/16/2008 Now, I used the alarm several times, I would like to add some comments. There are 2 alarm settings. They are all very easy to do. The alarm setting is in the digital section. Be careful on the am and pm setting. Not by the HR section and min is the bottom next to the disabled. Someone else said that the alarm is difficult to hear, but I find it quite acceptable and Laud enough for me ...
This is the ultimate watch: It 's light (titanium), high performance (I ' ll get to that in a moment), Eco-Drive (powered by the sun, no batteries required), radio-controlled (not require adjustment) - so in other words, you can be a very summary and not read the manual and the clock like that still work properly - forever! R RSO yes, it has 2 alarms, chronograph, calculating flight bezel (no idea how to use), world time, power handling, date, 2nd time, am / pm indicator - the only thing missing is compass, thermometer and barometer! Only problem is access function is not always easy or excellent and it was pretty grumpy. The band is a mix of brushed and polished titanium. with a black face only littered with technical markings function so less form.
Great watch! I bought it from designertimepiece.com. They 're not authorized reseller, but I felt it was worth the price of a big discount. I only paid $ 460 shipped! Hours are very construction and very light. Digital display is small, be prepared to look at you if you 're using them. The backlighting is awesome, works great on NVGs. Face easy to read and features an atomic clock is great! Make sure you remove the watch at night, seems to have moved to receive the signal. Battery costs quickly in the sun, after one or two hours at the window was already at full load. R rI 'll update after a few months.
This is my 4th Clock (1 & 3 casios Citizen). R rThe GOOD: It is really beautiful. It is made very, very good. He perfectly synchronized, both here and in Europe (except for steel-framed buildings). The dials are easy to read, even at night. R rThe BAD: The LCD info is too small, I can 't read it while driving (I 20-20 vision) with my glasses. Too many completely unnecessary functions. Too heavy (titanium, but very large). Alarm is impossible to hear (my hearing is less than perfect). The Clock band can 't be micro-adjusted. R rThe UGLY: None rSUMMARY r recommend Great Clock, very much. R rP.S. Citizens to call and check if your clock needs a ROM update.
Yes, I bought this watch brand new, including one year of Macy 's 2 renewable all-inclusive warranty in addition to factory warranty for a total price of $ 420, tax included. Why so low? Macy 's price every day and was marked by the tag below MSRP $ 795, opened a Macy ' s account that gave me a discount of 20%, other promotional discounts Fine Jewelry Department. Why a Macy 's warranty, plus Citizen factory warranty? Macy 's warranty includes repair of cosmetic damage, including scratches polished to preserve the original finish. I was sold on the spot. BTW, I got the stainless steel version for a week and this has no weight titanium in comparison. I love it!
I had several Citizen Eco-Drive watches. This is the best one yet because of the addition can synchronize with the atomic clock, and to have an Eco-Drive light powered battery. R RAS far as I know, my watch is sycronizing with the atomic clock automatically every night - because when I compare my times table atomic clock radio, both are in sync. I manually synced several times and have experienced no problems in my location Southern Cal. R rthe Watch has many capabilities, Sone that I find useful and some not: rValuable - 99 hours timer and stopwatch, digital display, the different time zones, and time UTC rLess precious to me - 24 hours (I can usually tell if it is AM or PM, looking out the window), alarms (you almost have to be awake and have the next watch to your ear to hear) and the line "computer "(it looks rather complicated). R rSetting the watch and using the tools is quite complex, but generally intuitive. The pointer of the UTC is very difficult to see when the need to bring all hands to the upright position is required. Areas of switching time is not too hard, but if you have a good memory, you want the end of instructions. R rthe face is immense, and you look like you are wearing a computer - I carry the spirit with the inside, so passers usually only see the back of the band. R rthe titanium is light enough but I suppose the steel version may be a little on the heavier side. R rthe light appears the same as any other shows - it would be really nice if it had brightness teaser, as the Luminox. R rthe mineral crystal sapphire but is not - but I manage to scrape ultimetly any type of crystal, anyway. R rthe group is a unique contrast to the buckle clasp twice that I had on my previous Eco-readers. However, I used a single clasp Rolex for many years and never had problems - so probably not a big deal. R rif this watch has the features you want is the watch that you can just put on and never take off. R rit 's not cheap. R ri personally love it!
The titanium case is great, less weight and less shiny look than stainless steel. I also have the Citizen Skyhawk "Blue Angels" "model. The AT is slightly larger in diameter. The LCD in the OT is not as readable as the" Blue Angels " 'display in daylight, but has a backlight can be used for the night. I live about 1000 miles from Ft Collins NIST transmitter and my example of HRT will only collect signal timing, and only if I put the watch in a window and position is exactly right. I have a couple of cheap plastic radio controlled alarm clocks and you can pick up the time signal anywhere in our house during the day or night. This citizen only receive the signal at night (when 's typically stronger). R rthe other differences between the AT and the largest "Blue Angels " model are the buttons and watch the band. In my opinion, softer, rectangular buttons in the BA is less likely to snag on clothing and soft "bicolor " bands of the BA model is much better future. The BA also has an additional safety catch on the release of the band, which was eliminated from the AT model. This makes it easy to remove the watch, but also makes it more likely that the accidental release of the band. R line rBottom: Auto Adjust time is great if you 're in a strong signal area, but if you ' re mind your watch manually every couple of months (mine lost 10 sec. / month) to Titanium Blue Angels model is a nice design and half the price.
This is a great watch but because it is so light it feels much smaller. UTC to the dial face and pros 't had any issues with the watch. This is really cool to get a watch and see the power meter and a half full and then set it to windows to get fully charged. The radio controlled time function that I think is very accurate as well (tested against several other atomic clocks I). My only problem is to get date to show you have to choose the same time zone of your home zone. If not, it will give you a date of another time zone. So, for my watch lax for my home zone and to get the correct date I have to choose lax for the second time zone as well.
I ordered a Skyhawk Titanium and when I opened the box, it looked like it had been done before. The outer box was bent and scratched and we could say that the manual records and others had been used before. R Watch rthe was clean when I am I would like to keep. I quickly discovered why someone had returned the first time. The watch was intemittent some of its functions, esp when trying to get the time elapsed between the time server in Denver. At first he would not read the signal, I called Citizen (general support) and they had to make a full reset on the clock. Things seemed to be better one day and then faded again. After another reset and hands-free installation, he worked for a few minutes then stops. R ri return the watch to the Amazon, no problem at all. Unfortunately, the watch is out of stock could not replace. R ri would buy another when it becomes available. R ri gave this watch to "3 " because it was sent to serve me but I give Amazon a "5 " for their return policy.
Even though I 'm not a pilot, I ' ve always liked the Skyhawk / Navihawk Titanium line of Citizen watches. My brother is a commercial pilot and has an older one. I love it. They are just too cool. But I've never liked that they didn 't have a backlight for LCD displays. Now they do! It has a yellow backlight works great. This clock is the new Titanium version of the much heavier stainless steel JY0000-53E that came out last year. R Rof course, the weight of this clock is ridiculous light by the titanium construction. For to see such a big, I can hardly say it 's on. I can 't stand a heavy watch bounce on my arm. And is well known, this is definitely a big clock. But is this the trend now seems (which I like). R rThe atomic time function works like a charm. I also like time in the world with his fingertips. I have to check family members who live abroad, so it 's nice to be able to their local time at a glance. R rit 's great to know that I will never have to change to batteries with this clock. The solar "Eco-Drive " is an incredible feature that everyone should have Watch Company. R rThe Clock has 2 alarms, world time zones (43 cities), solar power, atomic time, and countdown timer to chronograph, slide rules, UTC time, 24-hour clock, ultra-light and nearly indestructible Titan Construction, 200 meters water resistant, mineral glass, and it looks great. What more could you want? I think it even makes the dishes, bath and window. But I haven 't even looked until those features in the 115-page manual (Français) portion. R Rone Thing That 's missing is a one-touch feature to bring all hands to the 12 o ' clock position, turn off the LCD screen at certain times of the day. The hands occasionally obscure your attempts to read the LCD 's. Another small gripe is, has been pulled out and rotate the crown to check the date. And it 'll show you the date of the second zone only. You need to do a few more steps to your home zone date if your second time zone on the date line from you. I think there 'sa way to show the LCD 2 to the stage the whole time, but I haven ' t figured out how to do that yet. (Correction 4/1/08: I don 't think there is any way you can show LCD 2 at the time, too.) R rForget Rolex, Breitling and Omega. You might look cool and have their great picture pompous, but they have not nearly the functionality and workability of the new citizens. And they all cost about 10 times as much. They are also much harder. R rBottom line: It 's virtually indestructable, ultralight, maintenance and adjustment free. I never reset the clock, nor will I ever change a battery or watch him in a-) wind (for automatics. I 'ma big fan and proud owner of one of the coolest watches on the planet.
